Yes, you read the title right. Wattpad is taking away the user-to-user private messaging feature on May 6th, this very week. I know this is a...bit too late, but I want you all to hear me out. To spread the word.
Due to user-to-user private messaging, I was able to cater to requests from my readers the way that they wanted, privately so they could feel comfortable. I like PMs because it's better than just blurring out things for everyone to read in the comment section.
Due to private messaging, I was able to deepen connections with some of my readers and make genuine friendships, or what I, at least, believe to be genuine friendships, with people like Donutiscooltoo, Rivercandin, and @Lost_isntFound. I treasure the talks we've had, and the help they've given me, especially at a time where I feel so alone, and without private messaging, I may or hopefully may not lose these friendships.
This is why we need to advocate so that Wattpad doesn't take away these features. How many friends have you guys made with the Private Messaging feature? We can't just let Wattpad take this away from us! Let's all try to band together to spread the word and hopefully, possibly, stop this from happening, or at the very least, garner attention for it and hope it makes enough waves in the future for Watrpad to someday bring it back.
