Venting about DreamWorks' inconsistency

Cause everybody's saying that The Wild Robot is a fantastic movie, AND I PERSONALLY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW DREAMWORKS MADE IT!

Now, DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE CAUSE I HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET. But everyone's saying it's fantastic. And that makes me so sad and disappointed.

Why, you ask?

Because I look back at Orion and the Dark, which I genuinely loved, and all I can think about is how basically no one has seen it. I know asking for the movie to somehow become mainstream is a bit iffy, what with how fandoms can sometimes be, BUT I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE FANDOMS! I care about people realizing just how good this movie is!

And again, it's not the best in the world. Certainly not. It still has some flaws. But it's a gorgeously made movie with a pretty cute cast of characters and a really nice story that I think deserves to be enjoyed by everyone. I feel like Orion and the Dark needed the treatment that other movies got, where they got put out in theaters, instead of Netflix just gatekeeping it. YOU KNOW WHAT? THEY DID RELEASE OATD IN THEATERS? BUT WHERE, YOU ASK? ONLY IN THE FUCKING NETFLIX THEATERS!!! THAT'S BULLSHIT!!! RELEASE IT IN ACTUAL THEATERS LIKE IT DESREVES MAN!!! WHY'D YOU GET JACOB TREMBLAY AND PAUL WALTER HAUSER ON THIS IF YOU KNEW YOU WERE GONNA DO THE MOVIE LIKE THIS???

Anyway, yeah. Again, y'all, I'm not saying anything bad about The Wild Robot, I'm definitely in no way throwing shade, I think it looks like a gorgeous movie, one of DreamWorks' best in a while, which is SOMETHING to say for an original movie, and the trailer, when we first saw it in theaters, almost brought me and my mom to tears, so again, no shade. But I just feel so terrible, so angry and disappointed at DREAMWORKS'S STUPID ASS for being so mean to Orion and the Dark because now that I can see what their true potential looks like, it makes me look back at that one pretty good story and it makes me want more for it, y'know? It makes me want for poor little 'Rion to have that type of popularity. 😢
