Jisoo is sitting in her living room.

What time is it exactly? She has lost all sense of time.

All she can do is stare at nothing. Her father's words ring in her ears.

Over and over again

I want to see how he wants to provide for his family now...

wants to take care of his family now...

wants to take care of his family...

Family...

Tears form in her eyes, as they have so often in the last few days and hours.

It's a wonder she still has tears in sight, as much as she has cried since that day.

How long has it been now?

How many days?

Or has it been weeks?

Jisoo has no idea anymore.

Guilt has been eating its way through her since the incident.

Since the day her father shouted at her.

Since the day Taehyung lost his job

Since the day Taehyung kissed her.

At the thought, her heart breaks into hundreds of little pieces again. It feels like she can never put them back together again.

She has ruined Taehyung's family.

She has ruined him.

Days.

Weeks.

Months?

How long has it been?

How is he, has he found a new job?

Do they have any access to a fixed amount of money? Do they have access to money?

Jisoo squeezes her eyes shut with inner pain at the thought.

Jisoo doesn't know Taehyung well. She had to spend some time, weeks, even months with him because her father wanted her to have a bodyguard to take care of her.

You can see how well that turned out last time.

Of course, her father didn't leave it at that and immediately hired a new bodyguard for her. He is standing outside her door. She had one fit after another when he came in the front door and introduced himself. There was screaming, tears and possibly a vase flying in his direction.

Just maybe.

And maybe a few other objects too.

But we won't go into that any further.

The young man at her door is called Suho.

Jisoo's father introduced him to her quite happily and perhaps the objects thrown were much more for him than for Suho.

She hadn't seen him since her father had quit Taehyung either. He never came after that. And he never will. At least she is very sure about that.

He doesn't want to hear her apologies or anything else.

Jisoo knows that for sure. And that's exactly what would come out of her mouth if she saw him.

But he's fired.

He was no longer her bodyguard.

His job is done, what else should he have to do with her? Why would he still have anything to do with her?

She destroyed his life and robbed him of his job and money. If she were him, she wouldn't want anything more to do with her either.

Because that was all it was.

His job.

Jisoo doesn't know Taehyung's story very well. All she knows is that he has a little sister to look after while his mother is ill and an alcoholic.

And would prefer to spend all her money on her addiction.

She doesn't know what else is behind it all.

Jisoo stares at the ceiling and thinks.

Until she makes a decision.

She wipes the tears from her cheek and gets up from the couch, on which a clear imprint has already formed - that's how long she's been sitting there.

Time to start her life again.

And she knows exactly how best to do that.

She sits down at the kitchen table, picks up her laptop and opens it.

A small smile spreads across her lips.

The first in a long time.
