Imogen was planning to apologize to Karen Beasley for the humiliation they caused with the video. That's what the girls texted Joey whilst she was gone, letting her know to look for the girl while they were at the dance. However, when she got there she was too preoccupied with Bennett to physically search around the school for her, so she kept her eyes peeled in case Karen walked by her at some point.

"You look so hot right now." Bennett told her, checking her out as he ran a hand through his hair. "Just — wow! So gorgeous! I didn't know girls could look this sexy in suits."

"You falling in love with me already?" Joey asked teasingly, arching a brow.

"No," Bennett shook his head, crossing his arms over his chest. "but that doesn't mean I can't tell you how hot you look. I'm admiring your beauty as one would call it — hey, Joey, who are you looking for exactly? 'Cause I keep seeing you look around for someone."

"Karen." Joey responded simply.

"And why are you looking for her?" Bennett replied, sounding confused as he tilted his head.

"Uh," Joey spared him a glanced and noticed his confusion so she blew out a breath and further explained. "So, you remember that video of her that was played during the screening? Yeah, well, uh, that was us — Imogen, Faran, Mouse, Tabby, Noa, and me. But now we're trying to find her so we could apologize."

"That was you?" He asked, surprised.

"Well, yeah." Joey shrugged, twirling around her red cup with a hand. "After everything she did to us, I figured she deserved some karma. Hell, I still fucking think she does, but Imogen wants to apologize so the least I can do is help out."

"I — well shit, Joey, I didn't think that came from any of you guys." Bennett sputtered out, mouth dropping in shock.  "Wait, what do you mean by after everything she did to you guys?'"

"She tried getting us in trouble." Noa explained, bringing up the cup to her lips and taking a sip of Pepsi. "Which kind of work. We have to stay after school for detention, but the things she lied about and did to herself were really fucked, Bennett."

"I'd ask for more clarification on that, but I don't think you'd give it to me, huh?" Bennett said.

"Not my business to tell." Joey said, glancing around for any sign of Karen but quickly realizing if she wanted to get it done she needed to find her herself. "Sorry. Do you mind waiting here while I look around for her? I'll be back after."

"You better." Bennett warned teasingly, a smirk resting on his lips. "I want to dance with you."

"Of course." Joey said, taking a few steps back as she grinned. "Save me a dance for later, yeah?"

Bennett nodded, and then Joey was on her way across the gymnasium to find Karen. She already greeted Mouse on her way into the school since the girl was sitting outside of the building with a cute guy, and then she saw Faran with her ballet partner from class earlier. Tabby and Imogen were probably together somewhere, and she hadn't seen Noa since she left Tabby's house.

Why did she want to go looking for her?

Looking around for Karen didn't seem to be getting her anywhere. It was just wasting her time from more vital things. She didn't want to go back and dance with Bennett or continue to worry about finding a girl she couldn't care less about.

Joey wanted to be with Noa.

She wanted to be as close to her as they were when she was fixing her tie for her, but instead of being such an idiot like she was then, she would pull Noa closer this time and offer her a dance.
