"N/N, would you still love me if I was a worm?"
"I still love you in your aliens forms. So...yeah."
"But that's different! Those only last for a short time. What if I was a worm forever?"

I stop tying my shoes, humming in thought. "As long as you're still mentally Ben Tennyson...yeah, I'd still love you, but I'd be really worried about stepping on you." I chuckle, Ben smiles happily at my answer. He drops 3 water bottles in my bag, "Benji, don't you think that's too much?" I ask. Ben shoots me 'the mom look', adding a 4th bottle of water. I laugh and finish tying my shoes. "I shouldn't be gone too long, you gonna be ok alone?" I ask "Yeah, you don't have to keep asking. If I get lonely, I'll just show up uninvited like I always do. I'm pretty sure Julie loves it." Ben jokes.

"Uh huh..." I laugh, Ben grins grows wider. He hands me my bag, "Don't worry about me, N/N, seriously! Just don't be surprised when you find my hands all over you later~" Ben snickers, wiggling his eyebrows. "Can't wait." I snort, I sling my bag over my shoulder. The two of us walk outside, "I'll see you later. Try not to get into too much trouble without me." I say, kissing him. "Aw, getting into trouble is no fun without you." Ben laughs, I wave goodbye to him before teleporting nearby to the tennis court, I take a second to stretch my arms. "Y/N! You're here—and alone! I'm impressed. I thought you were gonna ditch me like you always do." Julie gasps teasingly, I wave at her with a toothy grin.

"Come on, Jewels, you need to have more faith in me. There's no way, I'd miss the chance to destroy you in court." I laugh, Julie lets out a scoff. "You haven't practiced in weeks! Don't get too cocky!" She laughs, nudging me with her elbow. "I don't need practice. I was born with incredible talent." I say smugly, Julie rolls her eyes playfully, "I think that boy toy of yours is rubbing off on you too much..." She warns before smirking "So let's see if you're really as good as you think you are~"

I hit the ball with all my strength, Julie moves quickly, knocking towards my direction. I move to hit the ball once again—a sharp pain suddenly shoots through my wrist. I yelp loudly, dropping the tennis racket gracelessly. The ball hits the ground with a painfully satisfying thud, Julie runs over to me. "Oh, sh*t! Are you ok, Y/N?" She asks, examining my wrist carefully. "Yeah, I guess it's been too long since I've played...my poor wrist wasn't ready." I sigh, Julie cringes sympathetically. "Well, I got a good two hours out of you. I think you can call it a day." She snorts, I laugh as she hands me my bag. "I promise we'll do this again." I tell her. "We better! I'll hunt you down if we don't!" She shouts, I leave the tennis court and frown at my wrist nervously. My joints aren't that weak—whether my powers work or not!

I pull out my phone and call Ben, his phone goes straight to voicemail. That's weird, he always answers my calls...h*ll he barely ever lets the phone ring, "Hey, Benji. Jewels and I are done for the day. I'm gonna walk home instead of teleport for plot reasons. I'll see you soon." I hang up the phone, I stretch my hand out. Something suddenly latches onto my leg, I let out a scream and my leg instinctively kicks whatever it was off, it lands in the bushes. "What the h*ll...!" I mutter, carefully walking over to investigate. A red, three fingered hand jumps out of the bush quickly. "Oh, what the f*ck?!" I gasp, I stare at the hand with wide eyes.

It starts to move towards me and I stumble back, "Calm down, Y/N. It's just a fully functioning severed...alien hand..." I mutter. The hand flashes green and turns into a normal hand...a normal hand with an Omnitrix attached to its wrist, "Is that—" I quickly pick up the hand, my sense of fear in quickly replaced with a sense of panic. The hand wiggles and jerks aggressively in my hold, I brush my thumb over the hand's knuckles soothingly. The hand relaxes...just like Ben does when I do this...
