"Tamar, can I borrow your notes from yesterday? I left My notebook at home. " me and Tamar were in the study hall. She became my study partner over the last couple of weeks.
"Sure here." I copied her notes on to my other notebook."uhh I can't wait to eat. Wanna go to the cafe after this."
"Sorry I can't today I gotta get home to my girlfriend. Her allergies are bothering her."
"Mines were bothering me too. Tell her to try thera flu. My mom live by that. It works too."
"She needs to take something cause that girl act like a big ass baby." We laughed.
"I dont blame her, allergies are no joke." I handed her back her notebook.
"Thank you. I like your braids by the way who did them?" Tamar had these long bohemian box braids. "I been trying to find someone to do them."
"Oh my best friend did these. Her prices are reasonable plus she provides the hair."
"Wow what's her instagram." She types her instagram in my phone. While scrolling through her page Toni started to FaceTime me.
"Yes Toni Michelle."
"Baby where are you, I need to lay with you." She whined.
"Im still at school baby. I'll be there." She continued to whined."did you drink that tea?"
"No. It was nasty." I shook my head.
"Baby that cough tea really works. You have to drink it."
"If you make it for me again, I'll promise I'll drink it."
"Okay baby imma stop at cvs and get more things. I'll be there."
"Okay love you."
"Love you too." I hung up and shook my head that girl can be the toughest thing in the streets but at home she a super baby.
"Girl looks like you better head home." Tamar said.
"Child that girl is something. I'll see you next week." I packed up my things and walked out the building. Getting into my car I seen I had a miss call from my dad. Clicking his contact I called him back. It rung for a minute.
"Hey pumpkin. You don't answer your dad calls anymore."
"Hey dad. I was at school. I'm just seeing you called. How are you."
"I'm good babygirl. I'm calling to see if wanna come to dinner on Sunday. You know it's me and your mother anniversary."
"Um I don't know. Is my girlfriend invited?"
"Yes of course she invited."
"Okay but the second me and Toni feel uncomfortable. We're leaving."
"Okay. Well the dinner starts at four. Hopefully all your sibling will be there." I pulled into the cvs.
"Well we'll be there. dad I'm bout to go into the store I'll call you later. Love you."
"Love you too pumpkin."
I hung up walking into the cvs. Grabbing a cart i picked up some elderberries and vitamins c gummies. Walking over to the medicine aisle I grabbed every Thera flu there was, throwing it into the cart. I also grabbed some of her favorite snacks and Lipton soup before checking out.
