YOU!

escaping the suffocating confines of the press conference room felt like a victory. jay led the way, weaving through the corridors of the building, while sunoo trailed closely behind. the sterile white walls and hushed whispers felt like a world away from the flashing cameras and probing questions they had just endured.
sunoo was confused he kept on looking around following jay through the unfamiliar corridor, he finally asked, "where are we going?" his voice was barely a whisper, as if he feared breaking the fragile peace that had settled between them.
jay shrugged nonchalantly, a playful glint in his eyes. "anywhere but near the reporters," he said with a smirk. "maybe grab some ramen? my treat."
sunoo's face lit up at the mention of ramen—a comfort food that never failed to lift his spirits. a hesitant smile tugged at his lips. "really? you're not... mad at me?"
jay stopped in his tracks, his gaze turning to meet sunoo's. "mad? no way," he said, his tone warm and teasing. "more like impressed. i like your confidence side."
sunoo blushed, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "thank you."
a shared smile passed between them, silent but full of mutual understanding. as they continued down the hall, they emerged from the building into the cool night air. jay's eyes scanned the street, and he spotted a small ramen shop nestled down a side street, its warm glow inviting them in.
"looks like destiny," jay said with a wink, his voice full of playful mischief.
sunoo chuckled, the sound genuine and light, like a breath of fresh air. "maybe it does."
together, they stepped into the ramen shop. inside, the fluorescent lights of the ramen shop cast a warm glow over them as they slurped down their noodles, the comforting warmth of the meal easing the tension that had once lingered between them. a strange solidarity settled between them, one born not out of expectation, but of mutual understanding.
the owner of the shop shuffled over, probably mistaking them for high schoolers, his tired smile softening the edges of his worn-out face. "what can i get you kids?" he asked.
jay gave him a small smile, his voice casual as he made his order. "beef ramen for me, please."
the owner nodded and then tilted his head toward sunoo, raising an eyebrow. "and for your cute boyfriend?" he asked, a knowing glint in his eye.
sunoo choked on the water he was drinking, sputtering out, "no, we're not—"
but jay, cut him off with a grin. "for my beautiful boyfriend," he said smoothly, his tone playful. "his usual beef ramen and a side of tteokbokki."
the owner beamed at them and shuffled back to the kitchen. sunoo, however, was a flustered mess, his pale skin turning a shade of red that made him look like a flustered bunny.
"how did you know i like beef ramen?" sunoo asked still blushing.
"i just guessed, looks like i'm pretty good at it." jay replied with a wink.
jay couldn't help but smile at the sight. he wanted to squish him, cuddle him, maybe even kiss him.
wtf why did i think that
before jay could ponder further on his thoughts, the door to the shop swung open with a screech, and a group of girls flooded in, their excited chatter overwhelming the once peaceful atmosphere. sunoo's eyes widened in horror as he saw the fan banners they were holding.
"oh no," he whispered, his voice barely audible above the chatter.
jay followed his gaze and spotted the group of girls, easily recognizable by their matching lightsticks tucked away in their bags.
"do you think they saw us?" sunoo asked, his eyes darting nervously around the shop.
before jay could answer, one of the girls shrieked, pointing excitedly at their table. "jay-oppa! is that really you?"
the other girls gasped, their faces lighting up with disbelief and excitement. the cozy ramen shop had their attention on them now, once again, and jay and sunoo were thrust into the spotlight.
