3 ~ Lunette (Origins, Pt.2)

...the box that I was given fell out of my pocket, opening... and releasing a ball of light...

I completely stopped dead in my tracks as the white light flashed brighter than anything I've ever seen... and a wolf thing came out with a big yawn...

"Ugh, where am I? What year is it? Are you a human! WOW!! O-M-G HEY! IM YOUR KWAMI! LETS GET THE BASICS DOWN. KWAHHHH-MIIIIII! CAN YOU SAY KWAMI?!"

I blinked. Then blinked. Then - you guessed it - I blinked again. Eventually, I resorted to the only move I could play in this game. I let out an ear splitting, blood curdling cry.

"AHH!!!"
"SHHH!"
"AHHHH!"
"SHHHHHH!"
"AHHHHHHHH!!"
"FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, SHUT UP!"

It moved its tiny paw over my mouth and gave me the dirtiest look I've ever seen. Uh-oh... I'm in trouble dude! Hah, get it? You probably won't, I don't have a very Full House where I'm from either.

"Okay, if I keep talking you better keep your trap shut, got it?"

I shook my head.

"Nuh-uh~"
"Alright good~, you got any snacks 'round here?"

I shook my head and it moaned, I went quiet and covered my ears as I heard laughing and a loud bang outside.

"Oh crap, you've got a villain on the loose, haven't you?" It said, calmly yet with attitude.
"A WHA-"
"WHAT DID I SAY?! KEEP THAT TRAP SHUT." It's very aggressive. I don't like this. I wanna go home. "Now, I'm gonna say this once and only once." It took a ridiculously huge breath before speaking at a million miles an hour. "That thing in the box? That's the wolf miraculous. You are now gonna be a superhero and with great power comes great responsibility. You now hold the miraculous of the wolf. You have heightened senses, a sonic howl and your main power is 'Amaurosis', if you scream that you will temporarily blind everyone around you, but only for a few seconds. That will start your five minute timer, when that's ended, you will detransform into a civilian. You got that?"

"Uhh-"

"Great. Now, your transformation phrase is 'Lunarr, let's hunt!"

I nodded quietly, clearly slightly scared of this giant genie or kwami or whatever the hell it's called... why was it here? Does it have something to do with an old man? Why me?

"I-I don't think I can... I can barely do P.E.... I-"
"No ifs no buts no coconuts. Say it."

"Let's hunt?"

And with that, a mass of light surrounded me, the necklace flew at me, tangling itself around my neck as I transformed into this strange suit... even my hair changed! It turned white and placed itself in a high ponytail. I looked down at my body, oh f*ck this...

I heard another crash outside.

Okay, I'm apparently a superhero now? This has to be some mistake, I've only just finished my physio course a week ago!!

After taking a deep breath, I heard a voice screech, "THIS GIRLS CRAZY!!" As a girl in red hurled the boy with the cat ears towards the stone giant. Well, at least he's brutally honest. Looks like I'm working with a psychopath.

That Alya girl turned on a tap and the stone giant basically fell apart, causing chunky and the boy in leather to fall, while Spandex-Girl happily spoke to chunky, I watched what went down. The boy looked at me, still in shock from whatever the hell you would call this and waved me over.

"Hey, clumsy girl! We're not just partners, we have a third member of the team!"

I slowly crept over and smiled nervously, hunching slightly before panicking and correcting my posture.

"Hm? Well where was SHE while you were being dense and I was figuring out what to do?!"

There was a LONGGG, awkward pause.

"Umm, I was in the bathroom?"

They stared, blankly. Well you've gotta admit, I'm not wrong!! His ring beeped and so did her earrings. Alya ram up to the girl and shoved a phone in her face, and as she leapt away - after dramatically naming herself to be 'Ladybug' - the guy muttered something to himself. I bit my lip and started walking backwards.

"Well uhh... nice meeting you? See you... uh- AH!" I stepped back and twisted my ankle around in an awkward position, gasping and yelping as I fell down backwards. He laughed and raised an eyebrow, holding his hand out to me. I cautiously started holding my own hand up and he grabbed it firmly, pulling me up with a hefty tug and shaking it. "Don't sweat it, clumsy girl. I'm Cat Noir, what's your awesome hero name?"

I stayed awkwardly quiet as I stared into his deep, green, emerald eyes...

"Uhmmm.... L-Lun... Lunette? Yeah- yeah! Call me Lunette."

He was silent for a moment before snorting and chortling.

"Lunette? Seriously?! Cat Noir, Ladybug, and LUNETTE?!"

I sighed and looked down, he punched the top of my arm gently and I moved my hand to cover it shyly.

"Aww come on, I'm just teasing!" He put an arm around me and tried to wipe my snowy hair from my face. His ring was rapidly beeping and he gasped.

"Sh*t! Better go! See you next time, M'Lady!" He bowed to me and used his baton to launch himself into the distance. He was a pretty sweet guy, I can see myself growing to tolerate him.
