Another angered text message trying to reach the father of her daughter was send by her phone. Elara Malfoy eyed her mother nervously, picking her little nails, almost taking off the pink nail polish that complimented her gorgeous look.

She was all ready to spend the weekend with her father, Draco. But the baby girl was already losing her hope. Once again.

This has already happened way more times than Elara could count, even why she only could get to spell to ten, but still, a lot more than it should.

Noticing that her child was a little more anxious than normal, Charlotte kneeled before her beautiful angel and took her little hands in hers.

— Let's not waste this beautiful look, huh? Who wants to eat ice cream and go to the playground? — The woman said, forcing an enthusiasm that wasn't really there. "For Elara" She thought.

As expected, the girl opened a bright smile, nonetheless, Charlotte knew it didn't heal her daughter's necessity to have her father present.

The woman couldn't elaborate why she ended up with Draco. Maybe the charming face or the empty pretty words, but when she notice she was pregnant with the Malfoy's heir.

Of course, she couldn't be happier when found out. Her biggest dream was to have children at some point of her life, but then disappointed took her dreams away when she discovered who her boyfriend really was and how little did he fancy responsibilities.

His parent's were not very amused as well. Latter she got to know that rich pureblood as Malfoys usually had arranged weddings that were alliances of money and power, created to spare pureblood heirs and keep the bloodline.

Charlotte couldn't help to find all of this a big "dog ass" speech. They were not races to not be mixed. How could she, an halfblood simple girl, know that she wasn't supposed to get pregnant with her own boyfriend?

Lucius, his father absolutely hated her and the idea of a bastard child. He tried to force a negotiation around the possibility of abortion, offering a fat amount of money for her to drop the idea of a baby. Of course, Charlotte's only reaction was to send a hex directly to Lucius' hair, open a hole into it, making him despise her even more.

Narcissa, on the other hand, was a mystery for her. The woman wouldn't complain, mistreat or argue with Charlotte, the matriarch won't treat her as family either, but she didn't want to blame the poor baby. With her help convincing Lucius, all of them decided that it would be better if they went to their own ways, although Draco would still hold the financial responsibilities just as some emotional dues to, such as spend a couple of weekends with the girl.

Draco grew sour with Charlotte, ignoring his ex and child like they even exist to him, and once his dad made him get a job to provide for his daughter, he found the perfect excuse to not fulfill their agreement, letting the young mom furious, and his baby confused from his absence.

Elara was too young to understand that her father was not prepared to have her, nor ever could he because of his blood status, nonetheless she already felt like he did not like her, what get her a little upset, she used to see her friends with their father and ask herself why her dad didn't treat her that way.

But always that feeling came hurting her heart, she tried to cheer herself up thinking "at least gran'mama likes me!".

And that was true. Narcissa loved Elara infinitely, as the beautiful blonde girl was hers. Since her granddaughter's birth, the woman did not pass a week without seeing her little piece of sunshine, and of course, spoiling her rotten as no one would.
