Jealousy was the feeling that described what Draco felt towards Evelyn.
Narcissa has always been his more than anything in the whole world. She was his mother before wife of Lucius Malfoy; his momma before a member of the Most Noble and Ancient House of Black; the person who kissed his booboos and read him books, before being anyone other than that function.
That was until Evelyn show up in her life.
Now, Narcissa seemed to be her... Draco didn't even know how to name their odd relation, but he knew it was above him right now. Narcissa definitely seemed to be more someone else's than his for the first time in his entire life.
He wanted nothing more to disappear with the girl from the surface of the planet, the only thing holding him back was the fact he knew his mother would move mountains to find her girl and guarantee she would never leave her embrace again. And this would only annoy him more, seeing the efforts his mother would put up for just a said 'servant'.
Just the thought made Draco groan as a wave of nausea took his senses. The boy didn't want to admit to himself that's this odd behavior of his momma towards Evelyn was love, the romantic one. There was no other explanation.
He knew better then to confront Narcissa again as he has done before. After all, she was his mother and he knew that pureblood couples has some 'strange' habits to keep their life-long relationships more interesting, although the last thing Draco wanted to know was his parent's sex life.
Just knowing it was consensual between both of Malfoys, not using the yellow haired bitch as a mistress to cheat one another, was enough for Draco.
Enough to forgive his parents, but not Evelyn.
How dare that bitch even show up when he was visiting around? A sex worker should know her place and stay in the shadows, not being any better than an elf, according to Draco. However the yolk haired acted like she was part of the family, sitting at the table with them, talking with Astoria like her equal and even rocking his son Scorpius like her hands weren't dirty to touch a baby. Such an ultraje!
The worst of all was the lack of support of his parents since the first time Draco tried to put Evelyn on 'her place'. He remembered as it was today the first time the blonde attempted to sit at the table with them all for a family dinner. Before she could even touch her fork in the food on her plate, the set of dishes in front of her disappeared, making her stare at the beautiful set of sousplat Narcissa has chose for the occasion, matching the napkins and glasses.
— Draco, what does this mean? — Narcissa asked with her eyebrows knitted together, eying her own son hoping he had a good excuse for such imbecility. From under the table, she was caressing Evelyn's thigh, trying to ease the girl's insecurities, indicating she was there to protect her.
— Apparently the little maid of yours forgot that servants do not eat with their masters. I send her food to the kitchen, where the elves eat, right the place she belongs. — Draco pointed to the kitchen's door. — Now, shoo. My family has a lot to discuss and you got nothing to do with any of this subjects.
At this point, Astoria could observe a bunch of new things to her: her husband being repulsive; how big Evelyn's eyes were, specially when they were pooled with tears; that Lucius was strong enough to ruin silvery cutlery with his own hands; and the most shocking, she could get the answer for a question she held for months now with a: yes it was possible, for the first time in her life she had the opportunity to see Narcissa completely mad at her son.
The entire face of the older woman was red like all blood of her veins were concentrated on her cheeks. The dark eyes were giving Draco a whole lecture just for the thoughness of it. She was about to explode.
