Elara woke up in her mother's arms, fresh clothes, apparently at their couch with the TV sound on the background.

— Look who is finally up. — Charlotte gave a big kiss on Elara's cheek. — Are you feeling better my baby?

— Hmhh. — Not able to form words yet due the recent nap, she just hummed her answer.

— What it is angel? Too tired even to eat the ice cream Gran'mama bought you? — Narcissa said, making her presence known.

Eyes finally seemed to had fulled opened up at the words "ice cream". Her head snapped up from her mother's lap, giving them the vision of the blonde lion's mane, taking giggling from the other two women.

— Wait... Gran'mama never be in my house before! — Elara realized, gazing towards the living room, where she saw her grandma sat on the couch, with her legs crossed.

Narcissa was still shy to be at their house after so many years without pay a single visit. She accommodated herself on the edge of the couch, not making it fully comfortable, a plastic smile adorned her features as she sipped on the delicious tea Charlotte had made. "But unfortunately it was served in such poor porcelain" her snob intrusives thoughts said on her ear.

Critical eyes scanned around since the first step at the complex of apartments. "It's not a big thing, Narcissa. Your house alone is twice the size of this whole complex. But it is decent enough, we live a good life here." Charlotte stated before they entered, already sensing the judgment from the "queen".

Indeed, the place had it charm, it seemed to be a very familiar building, there was a lot of playgrounds areas, volleyball's and football's courts and a little grove. Elara must have a lot of friends to play there, Narcissa thought.

— My neighbors are nothing like yours "Healers" "Minister" "Judge" or so. They are normal people, bakers, receptionists, librarians... No one "working at the Ministry of Magic doing such vital stuff for our community". — Charlotte rolled her eyes, mocking the way Lucius would talk about his friends. — Except for Cecilia that lives 3 levels down ours, she indeed works at the Ministry, but its cleaning rooms where elves are not allowed due their powerful magic. As I said: Normal people. — As the explanations went further, more Narcissa's browns were knitting together.

— Why don't you move out to a better place then? My granddaughter, a Malfoy is living at the same place as a maid? This is unacceptable, Charlotte! I'm sure the money Draco pays you every month is enough to afford something better.

The young mother exhaled deep breaths to not break that perfect little nose Narcissa Malfoy held so high sometimes.

— Yes, Narcissa. If I used all money Draco sends us just for dwelling, we could be living on a castle, but I don't spend the whole amount  just on the celling above her head now, do I? Elara is on the best private early magic school money can provide, doing two extracurricular classes; All her uniform for the activities were made by the best material available; Everything she eats is fresh, grew in farms, I buy directly from the farmers fruits, vegetables, meat, milk; There's a lot more exemples, do you want me to go on? — Charlotte asked purely rhetorically, because she didn't gave time for Narcissa to say anything. — Your granddaughter lives like a princess, Narcissa. She has everything a kid would want or need, and more important than that, she values what she has, because I taught her life must be that way, much different from your spoiled boy who can't value anything on his life and now is on his 30's spending all his daddy's money on night clubs.

Sometimes Charlotte regretted the things she said to Narcissa right after it slip out of her mouth. She was giving the woman such a hard time with the amount of reality shocks and lectures on the last few days. Charlotte couldn't help the urge to correct elitist acts from the older woman. Otherwise, her emotional had a soft voice on the bottom of her head saying that Mrs. Malfoy was a stuck up, blood supremacist, egocentric person, but it was all she knew how to be. And it was not like she wasn't trying to be a better person for the sake of Elara.
