~ Blair's point of view

I had just moved to Georgia, and I completely hated. Living in a big city like mine and coming to a small town like this was awful. My dad used to say that wherever he'd got a job I would come with him, I'd always denied but it actually happened. And now, away from New York and my friends, away from buildings and city lights I'm stuck in this school with kids that hate me for no reason, almost all of them hate for thinking I am too preppy and a rich kid from the city, I can't blame them for that, I surely look like one, but if they cared enough to talk to me they would know I'm a good kid.

I was heading to class when the hideous blue eyes showed up in-front of me, cocky and smirking, with that striped shirt. God I hated him the most, he thinks he is better than every kid because his father is the sheriff.
- You know no one wants you here right?
- Like I care butt face, stop bothering me, don't go ahead thinking I'm just a normal kid that is going to take your bullying quiet, don't mess with me sherif kid.
- Whatever... - he entered the classroom next to mine and I kept going.

When class was finally over I decided to sit by the playground to wait for my mother to pick me up, I hate when she takes more than 5 minutes to arrive. Suddenly I hear someone crying and sobbing, I look around and stop my eyes at Carl, breaking down in his mother's arms, a tall dark haired man stood next to her, sad expression in his face, not knowing what to do with the boy and his mother. I felt bad, but not for him, I felt bad for enjoying his cry, I was so angry at him, every day he comes talk to me only to make me mad, today wasn't that bad, but I still didn't like him. I know it doesn't matter how much I hate someone I shouldn't be happy with their sadness.

I kept watching him cry, but stopped when I felt a hand land on my shoulder, my mom, finally here.

- Hey honey bee, how was your day? - She asked me while we were heading to the car.
- The same as usual, you know I don't like this school, God I would do anything to go back to New York!
- We already talked about that, we're staying here, and I know you, nobody is gonna make you feel bad, just don't get in fights.
- You know I hate that boy Carl, and Jenna, and Vincent too! I hate them!
- Hate is a feeling that is too strong, you don't hate them, you just don't like them, it's gonna pass and I'm sure they're going to be friends with you, just like Leslie last year, don't you remember?
- Leslie is different, I didn't like her at first but she didn't try to bully me, they do, so I hate them!
- Don't say that, don't ever hate someone! If they keep pushing you I'll talk to the principal about it.
- Whatever...

After coming home I just jumped in bed and started reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, like I've been doing for the past 2 weeks. I heard my parents talking loudly in the living room and decided to check on them, when I got there I noticed the news on the TV, apparently crazy cannibalism cases, people going crazy, people dying of strong fevers, all weird stuff.
- How come the govern doesn't arrest those crazy people? - My dad shouted.
- This is so weird, they look so horrible, turn it off! - My mom said shaking her head.
- Are people going mad? - I asked and my mom and she said she didn't know what was going on.
- I just hope these crazy ass people don't come here, we're safe. - My dad tried to calm us down.
- I heard Lorelai say that there are some people at the hospital trying to bite them, she seemed scared when she said that, I don't know Joe, I don't have a good feeling. My shift is going to be in two days, what if there's people like that there?
- Then you're not going, let's just stay home until this is all gone.
- So that means I'm not going to school?
- Only for a couple of weeks young lady, don't go head over heels yet...
- Can I go visit Brady?
- No Blair, your brother's at college, not just hanging around for you to come bother!
- Pleaaasee!!! If I'm going to be home for 15 days why can't I go?
- We'll discuss this later, but for now just relax. - My father answered.
