Chapter 12 Bunking & Punishing

Arjun and nikky were going back to arjun's office when nikky came up with an idea.

Nikky "deda nikky go chachu college please."

Arjun was confused at first. His son's latest refusal to go to school and regarding himself as a grown up again got arjun worried. What if his child now wants to attend college instead of school. He calmed his racing heart and looked at his baby trying to gauge what he exactly wants "tujhe ab college jana hai bachcha?"

Nikky nodded enthusiastically "go college, pick chachu, play."

Arjun relaxed, his baby doesn't want to join college, he just wants to play with his chachu. Arjun thought about it for a moment "beta we can go to the college and get a quick lunch with your chachu, he won't be able to play with you right now cause of his classes. But I am sure he can manage to have lunch with us. Are you fine with that?" He asked gently

Nikky "yes chachu lunch." He said happily

Arjun "okay then let's go." He said and drove towards the college.

On his way arjun thought of surprising aru so upon reaching he called maan instead of arhaan. Maan took his call as soon as his phone rang.

Maan "haanji bhai."

Arjun "class me hai?"

Maan "nahi bhai abhi abhi lecture khatm hua hai. Abhi ek free period hai hamara."

Arjun "that's great. Ek kaam kar aru ko batana mat that i am here. Just get him to the cafeteria. And bring rohan along with you guys."

There was silence on the other side as maan didn't reply. "Hello, mannu, are you there bachcha?"

Maan "ji bhai. Bhai wo actually hamari ek bohut important class hai, abhi aayenge to class miss ho jayegi."

Arjun "abhi to tune kaha ki ye free period hai."

Maan cursed himself for giving out so many details earlier "haan free period to hai bhai par uske baad bohut important class hai."

Arjun could sense that maan was trying to cajole him. He was sure that his brat is up to some new mischief so he firmed his voice "mannu, teeno abhi cafeteria me aao. I am waiting." He said and disconnected the call.

Arjun along with nikky made his way towards the cafeteria. On their way nikky was admiring the college campus "deda chachu college big."

Arjun "yes bachcha, colleges are big. Jab teri schooling complete ho jayegi to tu bhi aise hi kisi bade se college me jayega."

Nikky's smile widened at the thought and it remained intact till they reached the cafeteria. Where he got nervous as it was too noisy for him. He covered his ears with his hands and came as near to arjun as possible. Arjun looked at him and found his baby looking at him nervously, he picked nikky up "kya hua meri jaan?" He asked nikky

Nikky "too loud deda. All angry."

Arjun "it's fine bachcha. Nobody here is angry, everyone is just talking to each other at the same time that's why it's so loud. See everyone is having fun."

Nikky looked around and saw strangers smiling and laughing. He relaxed seeing their expressions. "All having fun."

Arjun "yes, so shall we look for a table now? Your chachu, bhaiyu and buddy will be here soon."

Nikky "yes, look table." He said pointing towards the closest table.

Arjun chuckled and ruffled his here "we need an empty table meri jaan, see that way, we can take that one." He said and took nikky there and both sat down.
