"T-Taehyun wait! You can't go outside like that!"

"Soobin hyung move and lemme fucking go!" The mentioned ravenette growled baring his fangs. His eyes had turned a blackish shade of crimson, glowing dangerously. "You know your blood isn't of any fucking good! You're my fucking brother for fuck's sake!"

Soobin, although being Taehyun's brother was not a vampire. Because he had got his mother's genetics, for which he was just a normal human. Whereas, the younger's physics were more like their vampire father's, for which Taehyun was a partial vampire who went crazy for blood once a month.

Now, you could say why Taehyun just didn't drink it from Soobin rather than stressing himself into finding some other prey. That was because the blood of someone who was genetically related to them was of no use to the vampires. They needed someone that could awaken their hormones and sexually turn them on. Only the blood of someone like that could quench the vampires' thirst.

"Why didn't you take that fucking potion today?" Soobin shouted back, enraged.

His boyfriend, Yeonjun's father was a paranormalist, who had invented a potion that could calm the ravenette's monthly blood cravings. But, if used six months in a row, it would not work anymore, though. In the sixth month, Taehyun was bound to look for prey and drink the scarlet, sticky liquid of it. Or else, he could never soothe down and would go thrashing around, breaking and smashing any stuff that would be near him.

"It's the sixth fuckin' month, Hyung! I can't control this shit for six months straight, and you fucking know that! Stop blockin' the fucking door!" Taehyun grasped his brother's forearm and shoved him aside.

Usually, Soobin would never be pushed out of the way, even by a rough flicker from Taehyun. But when his fangs would come out, the ravenette grew way stronger, way more sterner and firmer.

Taehyun swung the main door open and dashed outside, seeming like a madman as he whipped his head this way and that way, scanning his surroundings that shimmered under the moonlight for a alive and vigorous human being. But who would wander around outside in the dead of the night instead of sleeping? Thus, the ravenette found no prey.

And that was when he spotted him.

A silhouette standing on the rooftop of the house across from theirs.

Taehyun had always seen that house abandoned for the year they had been living in this neighborhood, and today morning while seeing a family move into, he had been wondering if he should go and befriend the teenage boy of the elderly couple. But, by and by, he had decided not to do that, as usually he just ended up hurting people due to his half-annually blood cravings.

Although, now it seemed like Taehyun was going to have to meet that boy anyway.

A smirk tugged onto the raventte's pink lips and he transformed into a jet-black bat in the blink of an eye. Soaring over the wind, he effortlessly flew higher and smoothly landed on the rooftop of the house he had spotted the silhouette standing on.

Without a sound, he transformed into his human form again (The transformation was a process he could only do when his fangs would reveal themselves.) and for some reason, he scanned the stone-still silhouette instead of attacking it. It didn't move, just standing there motionless, stupor. Curiosity took the best of Taehyun and he temporarily forgot about his blood-lust. He tapped his finger against that boy's shoulder.

He sensed panic flooding the boy's head but he was unable to read his mind, which he could always easily do during his vampire phase. A confused but light frown took over Taehyun's face.

The boy turned around slowly and as the ravenette saw his face, he immediately felt movement down in his crotch. He had found his prey for tonight.

That boy's face was solemn and calm, his gentle, pink lips set atop each other. His brunette bangs fell over his warm-brown eyes, hiding away the way they twinkled under the moonlight. His facial features were soft and delicate, but cold and firm at the same time.
