When I turned back on I saw Alastor and Rosie hovering above me, I couldn't remember what had happened before I turned off. I think I was panicking about asking Alastor about our relationship? Whatever, what is going on?
"Al, what happened?"
Asking Alastor probably wasn't the best idea to do, he looks at me like I'm a whole different breed.
"Your screen is cracked, and we found you blasting music on your screen trying to turn it off. Instead, you turned yourself off."
Alastor is still smiling, but I notice something, his shadow has a frown. What does this mean? I have never noticed his shadow forming a sad frown.
"Oh, I think I remember what happened."
Responding hurt my throat and my heart. I grab my shirt to try and avoid the pain in my chest.
"Why were you blasting music deer?"
Alastor seems to question my whole existence in that question.
"Val jus-"
"I told you that you weren't that low of a level to join the Vee's! Valentino is a disgusting bitch who just wants to embarrass you anywhere you go!"
"Val is just a little different-"
"NO! I WILL NOT STAND HERE AND WATCH VALENTINO PUSH YOU AROUND LIKE YOU'RE SOME GARBAGE HE FOUND ON THE STREET!"
Al states at me like his stare would murder me.
"Carmilla will be here soon to fix your screen, try not do crack your screen more before she actually even gets here."
"CARMILLA CARMINE? SHE HATES ME!"
"Yes, she really does deer. You are lucky she even decided to read the message."
"SHE IS GOING TO END MY SAD FUCKING LIFE IF I SAY EVEN ONE THING WRONG!"
Freaking out was normal when it came to Carmilla Carmine, that woman was scary as hell. We always sent Velvette to those overlord meetings because me and Val had issues with someone there. But Velvette was not scared of any overlord who looked her way. I never did know why Velvette wasn't afraid of anyone, she had balls. Balls I could never have mentally, but I do have really nice bal-
"GET OUT OF YOUR THOUGHTS AND GET READY FOR CARMILLA!"
About thirty minutes pass by but it feels like hours. How could they call Carmine? Carmilla FUCKING Carmine! Ugh I could just kis- kill, kill Alastor. Why does he make my life so much harder? Maybe it was good to join the Vees. At least they would not treat me like crap. Val and Vel actually like me. But sometimes I am unsure with Alastor. No, he likes me. Right? He always has? Right? Or am I just some side friend for him. Alastor breaks my thought bubble when he speaks.
"Carmilla is right outside, let's get you fixed up and ready to cause more trouble."
It makes me feel worse that Alastor is saying I cause trouble. I mean, I am in hell for reasons, but hearing Alastor say it hurts. We walk outside to Carmilla where her two daughters sit in the back of the delivery truck for parts. Do they really drive that around all of the damn time? Well, who cares? I surely do not. Is that a baby crying? We have babies here? I did not realize how distracted I was by everything around me until Carmine spoke up.
"I see what you mean by him being broken. He has the attention span of a two year old. Was he like that before?"
I only heard half of that sentence before I saw a butterfly and followed it. This was not normal at all, even for me. My system blocks the noise out when I follow the butterfly. For all I know they could be calling my name and chasing after me. But who in this world would give a care?
"Pretty..."
The one word that escapes my mouth. How stupid do I sound to everyone around me right now? This is ridiculous, Alastor must think I'm so lame and weird for this. I feel like this butterfly is as beautiful as Alasto- I mean a rainbow! I love rainbows a lot! Why do I lie to myself so hard? I finally come back to my senses when Alastor slaps me.
"What is wrong with you my dear? You never respond to any of our calls, me and Carmilla were worried~"
"Oh. Uh... Sorry. That was really strange, I do not usually do things like that. In fact I don't think I have ever done anything like that before... What is wrong with me today? Did I fall that hard? There is no way I fell that hard. I did not even feel the fall itself!"
"Oh dear, you fell. And you fell hard. Me and Rosie watched it. " Why is this happening?"
