It was yet another uneventful day when Peter stormed inside the tree with an announcement. He had woken up the earliest and had been gone most of the morning doing who knows what.

"Good morning, comrades," he bellowed in an exaggerated accent, striking a pose.

"Since when have we become 'comrades'?" Curly asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Since now! Stop ruining the mood," Peter replied curtly. "This morning, while I was doing my usual spying on Hook, I found out they were planning a trip."

"Oh, I love trips!" First Twin said excitedly, clapping his hands.

"We all do, but boys, can I speak for a moment without getting interrupted?" Peter said, sounding slightly exasperated.

"Since when do you care about manners, Peter?" Second Twin asked, smirking.

"Since I started calling you comrades," Peter said, crossing his arms. The twins looked at each other incredulously but stayed quiet.

Peter cleared his throat dramatically. "Anyway, what I was trying to say before being rudely interrupted was that as I spied on them, I heard they were planning to take a trip to," Peter pointed to the sky through the tree opening, "the mainland."

"The mainland?" Nibs asked, his eyes widening. "What could they possibly want there?"

"That's exactly what I want to find out," Peter said, looking around at the group. "I think we need to follow them and uncover their plan."

"Go on," Tinkerbell finally said, sitting on a small chair on her patio, curiosity piqued. Peter turned toward her and smiled, sensing he had her attention.

"And I want to find out why they're going there," Peter continued, his voice filled with determination.

"So you want us," Tinkerbell pointed to the sky as he did earlier, "to leave our newly made home just to find out why Hook plans to leave Neverland?"

"Yes, exactly!" Peter said, nodding vigorously.

"No," Tinkerbell said firmly.

"Wh-what? Why not?" Peter stammered, taken aback.

"Because there's no need to," she explained. "We can finally have Neverland to ourselves, and maybe we can stake out Hook's base. This is the perfect time to stay in Neverland."

"But what if he's up to something big?" Peter argued, his eyes wide with urgency.

Tinkerbell paused, considering his words. There must be a big reason why Hook would leave Neverland. But what made her even more curious was how he was going to leave. To leave Neverland, you had to be able to fly, something Hook couldn't do as he had no Pixie dust, nor was he a fairy-like Peter had become over the years.

"I've known Hook as long as he's been here," she said slowly, thinking out loud. "If there's one thing I am sure of, it's that Captain Hook always has a plan. But whether that plan fails or not is up to us. This time, I'm afraid he has something big in store for us."

"We will stop him," Nibbles declared, standing up. He was by far the bravest of the lost boys, only second to Peter.

"Are you sure about this, Peter?" Slightly asked, looking worried. "What if it's a trap?"

"That's a risk we have to take," Peter replied, his voice steady. "We can't just sit here and do nothing."

"Peter's right," Nibs said, his face set with determination. "If Hook's planning something, we need to know what it is."

"But what about our home here?" Curly asked, looking around at the cozy treehouse. "What if something happens while we're gone?"

"We'll make sure it's secure before we leave," Peter assured him. "And we'll come back as soon as we find out what Hook is up to."

"It sounds dangerous," Second Twin said, frowning. "But if Peter thinks it's important, then I guess we should do it."

"I'm with Peter," First Twin chimed in. "I think we need to find out what's going on."

"Fine," Tinkerbell said, reluctantly agreeing. "But I don't have a good feeling about this."

"You won't regret it, Tinkerbell," Peter said, looking at her with a hopeful smile. Tinkerbell hoped Peter would prove her wrong and that this trip would be swift and easy.

The lost boys all nodded in agreement, their faces serious. They trusted Peter, and they were ready to follow him, no matter the risk.

"Alright, everyone, get ready," Peter said, clapping his hands. "We leave at first light tomorrow. Pack only what you need."

The boys scattered, each one preparing for the journey ahead. As Tinkerbell watched them, a sense of foreboding settled over her. Whenever Hook did something, it made her heart beat a little faster, even though they had not lost to him yet. She couldn't understand how the boys seemed so calm and happy.

She looked over at them. Nibbles seemed the most excited for action, stumbling as he packed for tomorrow. It made her feel somewhat calmer; she had to stop overthinking.

"This is going to be an adventure we won't forget," Peter whispered next to her. She hadn't even noticed that he had moved to stand next to her.

She nodded at him, hoping Peter knew what he was doing.
