Chapter Eighteen

D E C L A N

Will was starting to lose it, but he'd never admit it. Grey would go into save everyone mode and not work through his anxiety. Right now the best we can do is just try to keep calm. I'm sure mom already told dad about us, so there really isn't anything to worry about.

"Boys! We're back!" Mom called making Grey jump slightly. The three of us share a look. We got this; I really hope mom already told him. I'm a little nervous even though I know dad won't care.

Without anything else we slowly make our way downstairs. My parents are in the kitchen putting groceries away.

"Dec I've missed you son." Dad smiles warmly throwing his arms around me. I sigh hugging him back. I've missed this more than I realized.

"Greyson, it's great to see my bonus son too." He tugs Grey into his arms. The tension visibly disappears from him.

"You must be William, I've heard so much about you." Dad doesn't bother shaking his hand but pulls him in for a hug.

"Grey don't forget about my hug, I know I see you all the time but still. I've been missing out on hugs." My mom grins holding her arm out. For a second I think this might be too much too soon for him but Grey proves again how strong he is.

"I'd never deny a hug from you Mary." Grey grins hugging her. Dad stands absolutely stunned; he's never seen this. Not to mention it took a few years after everything for Grey to let dad hug him again.

"I need to come home more, it seems a lot has changed since I was last home."

"You have no idea Dad." I answer smiling at Grey when he comes back over to Will and I.

"I'm not sure what mom has told you but there have been a lot of new developments."

"I didn't say much, mostly just that Crystal is back and things relating to her." Mom chimes in from the sink.

"Should I be worried about this? I mean aside from Crystal?" I look at Grey and Will.

"No, it's nothing bad. It's actually really good." Grey says trying to reassure dad. He doesn't like not knowing things, it's kinda like having an unknown threat for him.

"I'm in a relationship." Grey blurts then looks between Will and I frantically.

"Oh, that's great! Grey I'm so proud of you." Grey is panicking a little.

"There's more dear." Mom says casually.

"I'm confused, there's more?" He asks looking at the three of us.

"Yeah, dad we're all dating."

"Each other." Will clarified softly. He reaches to pull Grey between us. It seems to calm him down some. Dad stares at us for a long time not saying anything. My hand subconsciously intertwined with Grey's, the air was palpable.

"Why don't you boys go upstairs for a bit and let your dad process this. He's not around you three often so I'm sure it's a big adjustment for him." Mom says smiling sweetly.

"Come on love." I murmur to Grey smiling gently. He's terrified but tried to smile back.

I have no doubt my dad is just shocked. I mean it's not everyday that your son comes home with two boyfriends.
