the next day...

two parties in a row? ifedayo is actually on a roll, she was so used to being a homebody that always declined invitations to parties and gatherings but now something changed... maybe it's the latino heat that she met yesterday but anyways back to the main cast.

'im actually surprised that my mum is allowing me to go out two days in a row,' ifedayo says to her friend. 'normally she would cuss me out in yoruba and tell me to go to my room,'

'maybe she's realising that you're getting older and she can't keep you cooped up in this house,' rhiannon suggests. 'she's realising that you need a social life,'

ifedayo shrugs and continues braiding her hair, 'i guess so,'

'by the way, vanessa said that she'll meet us at marcelo's house,' rhiannon says, helping ifedayo curl the ends of her braids.

'why?' ifedayo asks.

'she's getting her nails done,' rhiannon replies.

'oh, say less,'

obviously as you guys can see, the girls are getting ready for the house party hosted by the kowalskis'.
the house party is VERY exclusive as only certain people get invited, people who are very close to the family so it was quite a surprise when a new girl (who people just met yesterday) was able to go.

'oh my gosh, let's wear matching colours!' rhiannon exclaims, grabbing ifedayo's attention.

'okay, let's see if we say the same colour,'

'pink!' the besties say in unison.

'wait, we gotta tell vanessa to wear pink too,' ifedayo remembers as she does not want vanessa to be left out.

'okay, i'll text her, just go get dressed,' rhiannon says to ifedayo, reassuring her.

before they knew it, the girls began to properly get ready, making sure that their makeup is on point and ensuring that their outfits are 'gonna eat the girls up' as ifedayo's mum would say as she tries to stay 'hip'.

45 minutes later, they were ready.

'you girls look so beautiful,' ifedayo's mother says. 'i NEED to take a picture of you guys,'

'ife, why can't i come with you?' ifedayo's little brother asks, tears wanting to spill from his eyes.

ifedayo walks towards and kisses him on the forehead, 'this party is for adults, femi, if it makes you better, i will bring you back some food,'

femi smiles and gives her a huge hug, 'you better or else...'

the girls and ifedayo's mum laughs at femi's 'scary' threat.

as the laugh dies down, a beep is heard outside.

'that's our ride, we have to go now!' rhiannon says. 'goodbye femi, goodbye ma,'

the girls bid them farewell and go outside to see the most expensive car that they have ever witnessed in their entire life, a 2023 mercedes benz g class.

'this car is beautiful,' ifedayo walks towards the car and admires its exterior.

'i know right, this is marcelo's car,' rhiannon does the same as ifedayo. 'i still get shocked every time i see his car, but anyways let's get in,'

as they were about to get in, the kowalskis' personal driver, alberto steps out and opens the car door for them, 'good evening señorita ifedayo and señorita rhiannon, please let me get the door for you,'

the girls give each other a look, marcelo really showed at this time, it was very clear that he was trying to impress ifedayo.

'thank you, señor...?'

'alberto, just alberto, señor marcelo would have me sacked if he hears you calling me señor,' alberto replies, shutting the doors for the girls.

ifedayo shakes her head and laughs to herself. of course he would. she thought.

'the trip is about an hour long so feel free to indulge in some snacks and watch some tv,' alberto presses a button and snacks appeared in the compartments of the car and a small tv appears from above them.

'wow, marcelo is so desperate in trying to impress you,' rhiannon says, budging her elbow into ifedayo's arm.

'i guess he is,' ifedayo replies, clearly lost in her thoughts.

its been awhile... i had exams but now im on holiday so expect more frequent updates. i decided to add a narrator (me) in the chapters to make things fun and im trying to add more comic relief but you guys will probably see it more in the next chapters.
