The not so perfect Farm Life

Chapter 1

Something small before we start Lizzy can talk in this she was a mute. The first one because  of a health problem with her vocal cords that was fixed in the time skip between the two books. She still uses sign language some of the time as a old habit.

Lizzy POV

        I woke up and got out of bed going to check on the twins. I walked into their room to see that Bonnie was awake but Eli was still sleeping. I smiled at her and she got up and smiled at me.
        Our parents had gone on a getaway cruise a week ago. They were supposed to be gone for three weeks. Alice and Taffy were going to come stay with us for the time because we needed an adult and Alice wanted to come see us.
        I went into the kitchen and made breakfast while Bonnie got dressed and went to go get Eli up. The others would be coming today but the three of us needed to eat quickly so that we could do our morning work around the farm.
         The twins came down and the three of us sat down and started to eat. When we were done Bonnie said she would do the dishes and we could get started on the morning work.
          Eli and I both thanked her and then two of us headed out to the barn. The first thing we did was let the animists out into the field. We let the horses, cows, sheep, goats, and then let the chickens out to their area.
          Eli started with the waters while I got the hay out into wheel barrels to the right places and Bonnie came out to do the grain. We all did our jobs and the two of them went to feed and gather the chicken eggs while I went to make the pig food.
          As I finished feeding the pigs a black Corolla pulled into the driveway and Alice and Taffy got out of the car. I smiled and walked to say hi while the twins ran to go hug their favorite aunt.
           'Hey guys. I am glad you guys came out here. The rooms are already set up. Taffy you can stay in mom and dads room and I made an extra bed for Alice in mine' I signed when I made it over to them. They both smiled and gave me a hug and me and the twins helped them get their stuff inside to the rooms.
           When they were situated in their areas I went back out to milk the cows and the goats. Alice came out to help me which I happily accepted. While we milked the animals Alice filled me in on all the crazy things that have happened in the kingdom and I told her about what I have been up to since her last visit.
            When we finished the rest of the chores we headed back into the house and ate the lunch that Taffy had made. I had promised the twins that they could go riding today so the five of us were in the barn getting our horses ready for a ride.
            Eli saddled up his black white and brown painted bourse name Ben. Bonnie got her smaller brown bourse named cupcake. Taffy got on our white one named Vanilla and Alice mounted Coco puff.
            I got on my black horse whose name was Velvet. When we were all situated we headed out toward the woods. We all knew the way out to the field through the woods. We had our saddle bags with food and drinks for a picnic. When we got to the edge of the woods we all got ready and Eli called it out.
              "3...2...1...go!" He called and we all took off down different trails. As we raced through the woods trying to be the first to the field I smiled and let my arms out.
            As I was riding I saw the apple tree that I always passed by and I carefully stood up. I balanced and grabbed two apples as we rode by and bit into one while giving the other to Velvet as we continued.
           When we finally got to the field I saw that I was the first one that got there and I pumped my fist up in the air.
           I was so happy that I was able to beat everyone else. I dismounted and got the blanket and the snacks that were in my saddle bag and set the area up as Alice and Bonnie came into the clearing.
           They both helped me set up and Eli came into the clearing followed by Taffy. Taffy complained while we got everything set up.
           We all started to snack and run around the field having fun until it was getting slightly later and Simone needed to put the animals away and feed them.
           I told them that I would go back and take care of it and grab some camping gear and we could stay out here for the night.
           They all agreed and I mounted back onto Velvet and headed back to the barn to get the chores done.
            When I had just finished the last feeding and started heading toward the house to get the camping gear I got a call on my phone and looked at the caller ID seeing it said unknown caller.
             I was not sure what to do but I picked up the phone and said hello as I walked into the garage to get the camping stuff.
             "Hello Lizzy, how can I help you" I said.
              " Hello my name is Jakson I am calling to inform you that unfortunately the cruise that your parents were on has gone missing and all of the passengers have been presumed dead.
