I dropped my phone to the ground not being able to think of anything except the fact that I did not know what to tell the twins. If they were gone, what would I do? What would happen to us? Would we have to leave the farm?
I quickly picked my phone back up and thanked that man for the information before mounting Velvet and heading toward the other, completely forgetting about the camping gear or even the thought of camping.
When I got to the clearing I was in full tears. I got off Velvet and walked over to Taffy. The twins were playing with Alice and I did not want them to know yet.
"Hey sweetheart what happened" she said as she pulled me into a hug.
"Mom and dads cruise ship has gone missing and they have been presumed dead" I said in between tears. She pulled me closer and I could feel the tears from her eyes hit the top of my head.
The twins and Alice ran over and asked what was wrong and Taffy explained what had happened. We all headed back to the house camping long forgotten. When we got there we got ready for bed and Taffy called some people to figure out what to do.
When she got off the phone the twins were asleep and me and Alice were sitting in the living room. She walked over to us and looked sad.
"It looks like I am going to stay out here with you while they continue to look for the boat. They can not officially say they are all gone without having found the boat and the people." She said and I nodded trying to hold myself together
"Ok well we should all get some sleep I guess" I said and they both nodded and we headed up stairs.
I cried myself to sleep still worried that my parents may actually be dead and I may never see them again. It had taken me 7 years to find my family and I was not ready to lose it yet.
