The usual liveliness of the Shekhawat mansion was absent today. Instead, it was filled with the unspoken sorrows of the family members.
The photo of the elder son of Amrita and Ranjit... Vihaan Shekhawat was placed in the hall decorated with flowers while the guests came offering flowers to the flowers and talking to the family.
Veer came out wearing a white kurta-looking handsome catching everyone's eyes.
He stood beside his mother noticing her gloomy face and teary eyes, before her tears would fall he wiped it from the corner of her eye. "Maa, I don't like it."
Amrita looked at him and blinked her eyes controlling the tears. A mother's heart will never listen.
"Veer, don't go anywhere today. Please!"
Veer shook his head making her heart drop. "I can't stay maa. I have to be somewhere else, it's important."
"What more important work do you have than listening to your mother ah?" Amrita asked angry with his behaviour.
"Trust me Maa, It should be done today only."
Amrita stared at him saddened and said."You won't listen to me, Will you?"
Veer smiled at her blankly."You are the reason Maa."
Amrita lowered her eyes knowing what he was referring to. Indeed it was her fault, which she can never correct. Amrita kept staring at him who left making a phone call.
Ranjit saw her standing alone and went to her, as soon as he saw her wet eyes he wrapped his arm around her shoulder asking.
"What happened Amrita?"
"I didn't lose my one son, Ranjit. Unknowingly I have lost my both sons." Amrita said painfully.
Ranjit turned her towards him."Why are you saying that? It's not yo-"
Amrita cut him off. "It is Ranjit.. but we didn't realize. Have you noticed Veer? He is always busy with something or the other."
Ranjit nodded remaining himself to give attention to his son.
"It's okay Amrita. He will be alright." He assured her taking her with him to see the guests.

Devika sighed with relief closing her eyes and clutching her mobile. The report came negative and she couldn't be more thankful.
It's not like she hated having a child but it's not the right time, A child would worsen her state.
Devika turned when the door opened and Veer came in. He smiled checking her out. Devika lowered her eyes not seeing him as she was still upset with him. She peaked at him from the corner of her eyes surprised to see him in a white traditional attire.
