Part 14

Demi's POV:

It has been two weeks since Alex and I met. Since I took a short break from tour, I have had to practice a bunch to stay on my A game for when I begin performing again.
Alex has seemed a bit happier ever since I found out about her self harm. It seems that it lifted a huge weight off her shoulders. Of course, I've kept an eye on her wrists, but, nothing. I'm so proud of her.
Today I'm planning on asking her to tour with me. Officially. One day I had noticed Alex taking pictures when we were out in the park and I asked to see some of her work. She's actually quite an amazing photographer. I'd love to have her go on tour and take pictures.
I'm going to ask her over coffee when she has a break. Alex works at Starbucks. How convenient! Her break it at 1:30 and it's about noon now. I should probably start getting ready!

Alex's POV:

Work has been so slow and boring lately. Whenever I'm not at work I've been with Demi. When I'm at work, I'm thinking of Demi. This pop star has completely taken over my thoughts. It's 1:25 now so it's almost break time.
Thank god! I miss my girl. Wait, did I just say my girl? Ohhhh I like the sound of it. But wait, she isn't officially my girl. Ugh. Secret life of the American pop star, aka my life.
1:30.
Finally!
Break time!
I go and make Demi and I coffee, take off my apron, and walk over to her and sit down across from her. "Hey Demi! How are you?" She smiles at me. Wow. That smile. It lights up the whole place. "I'm good. How about you? How has work been?" I audibly laugh. "Boring as ever. At least I get to see hot girls all the-- ow! What was that for?" Demi swiftly kicked me under the table and glared. "Babe I'm kidding! You know you're always on my mind." Oh. Did I just say babe? "Oh so I'm babe now?" She smirks at me. I look down and blush furiously. "Um no. I mean. Well.. if you wanna be.. I mean--" Demi cuts me off with her infectious laugh. "I'm just kidding, I find it adorable. But, I came her with a question got you." Oh my gosh. What did I do wrong. Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. "Alex, will you go on tour with me?"
