3 Years (a Joshaya/Jaya/Josh/Maya fanfic)

True Feelings

Josh's POV.
I have a secret. I really like Maya Hart. I say I don't like her because she is 3 years younger. I only say this because that could cause many problems and I haven't decided if Maya is worth it yet. I walked into Cory's apartment because he is letting me eat breakfast here. Maya always comes too. Seeing her right now just kills me. I think I know what this feeling is. "Maya, can I talk to you after breakfast?" I asked. She nodded confused. "What do you need to talk to Maya about?" Cory and Riley asked at the same time. "You'll find out." I answered. They gave me a confused face. After breakfast I dragged Maya outside. "What did you need?" Maya questioned. Maya started looking at the floor so I grabbed her hand and moved her face to look at me. "Maya, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked her. She smiled and nodded. "I thought you'd never ask" She smiled. I still had her hands and our eyes were still locked as I leaned in and our lips touched. Maya let go to say "Riley and I should probably get going to school." I responded saying "Okay, can you meet me at Topanga's after school?"
She nodded. (In this book Josh and his family moved to N.Y.C.) I put my arm around her, just walking her up to grab Riley. When Maya and I walked into the apartment with my arm around her there were some mixed reactions. Riley just seemed shocked. Cory said "Wow Josh, what happened?" "Maya is my girlfriend." I announced. Cory just started to be shocked but generally happy for me.
Maya's POV.
I was shocked and excited that Josh ended up being my boyfriend. I never expected him to feel that way about me. Sadly, I had to go to school. "Bye Josh." I said as he kissed me on the cheek and Riley and I walked out the door. "So did my best friend finally have her first kiss?" Riley asked. "Maaayyybbbeeee. Okay yes! It was amazing." I sighed. Riley and I got on the subway. When we got there Riley saw Lucas and went over to him and kissed him. Everyday. Riley and Lucas are a cute couple and everyone in school likes to call them Rucas. Maybe everyone will be calling me and Josh "Joshaya." Except, we go to different schools. It doesn't matter as much ad true love though.
After School.
At Topanga's.
Maya's POV.
I walk into Topanga's and see Josh waiting for me. "Hey." He welcomed. "Hi." I smiled. We just looked into each other's eyes. We started to close them. We leaned in. Closer. Closer. Closer. Until our lips touched once again. We kissed and kissed. I know we don't talk as much but I just am in love with the feeling of us touching. We deicded to finally let go but we still kept hold of each other's hands. "Maya can I tell you something?" Josh asked. I nodded. "Maya Penelope Hart, I think I am in love with you." As Josh said those words I felt excited. But I wasn't ready to respond. "I..." I mumbled as I ran out in fear.
