3 Years (a Joshaya/Jaya/Josh/Maya fanfic)

Awkward

Maya's POV.
I walked into Riley's apartment. I was suprised to see Josh there. I ignored him and walked to the table. We were all eating in awkward silence until I spoke up "So uhh... What's Josh doing here?" Josh answered with "I'm going to be staying here for a little while until I find a place of my own." I looked at him confused. "Don't you live with your parents? I mean you're still 17." "Well, my parents moved back to Philadelphia. I didn't want to move back with them. I told them I had some things keeping me here." As Josh said that I got really nervous. I never get nervous. But it was just the thought of him staying in New York for me. Well, he didn't say it was for me. God, I'm stupid. He's probably just staying because his brother is here and he's going to be going to college here. "Anyway, Riley let's go to school." I grabbed Riley but then Mr. Matthews said "Oh no need to take the subway Josh is taking you today." I can't believe this. "Why is Josh taking us?" I questioned. "He offered. It's probably better than riding in a dirty subway car." Mr. Matthews replied. I nodded. All of a sudden Riley ran to the bathroom and I heard a puking noise. Oh no. I ran into the bathroom to see a not very fun sight. "Ugh, I don't think I can go to school today." Riley announced. "Guess it's just going to be us in that car." Josh mentioned nervously. "Well... Let's go..." Josh walked out. "Well, uhh... Bye Riley." I said and hesitantly followed Josh. The car ride was awkward. I tried to look away from Josh but I kept looking at him. After long silence Josh finally said something. "Why are you doing this?" "I... I don't know what you mean." I looked down. "I mean this. You break up with me but then you keep looking at me and making things awkward." I started to get mad. "Really?! I'm making things awkward?! You're the one who decided to stay at the place I am the most and take me to school!" I ranted. "Well, I'm sorry for being nice!" He yelled. "Nice?! I told you I needed a break! This is not a break!" Josh pulled over. "Why do you need a break?!" Josh asked. "Because I'm afraid!" I shouted and immediately regretted it. "Of what?" I looked down. "Ya know what? I can walk." I got out of the car and slammed the door. I was walking and not really looking until I felt someone throw me out of the road. Then Josh was right on top of me. "You almost got run over." Josh informed me. My heart was beating really hard. "I- thank you." I thanked. Josh started to get closer and I didn't stop him. I want to but at the same time I don't. Right before our lips touched that fear came out. "Wait." I told him. I could tell he didn't want to but he stopped. He got up and helped me up. "Look, I just don't want to get hurt." Josh grabbed my hand. "I would never hurt you. I couldn't hurt you." He said. I kissed him and it felt like everything was right and nothing could ever be wrong. But these feelings never last. I broke that same kiss. "I just can't."

Like if there isn't a Joshaya kiss in part 2 I will be mad. Yes, I did want Girl Meets Ski Lodge part 1 early even though I probably shouldn't have. But whatever. Anyway BBBYYYYEEE!
