MUNIRAS POV

Today was the day that my LEFE were brought to our house. As per tradition, the bride is not to be seen when it is brought over, but considering my situation, I decided not to go out and locked myself inside my room till they all left.

After Hishams aunts left, I was called down by mama to see my gifts as they were to be taken to my house the next day to finish setting it up. I went to mamas room and I saw about 18 boxes of the gifts.

From the first look I could tell all were designer. Munira sit comfortably and see your kaya Sumayyah smiled. I did as I was told and mashaallah they really tried. I never once thought that they would go this far with it but I was thankful.

When I was done, I quickly went to my room to call Hisham and thank him. Hello I said after he picked up the call. Hey, Munira how are you? Hisham said and his voice made my stomach flip.

Im fine, how about you? I answered. Im also fine wifey he said and made me blush. Did you like the gifts? Hisham asked again.

That was even the reason I called you, thank you so much I loved them and I did not think it would be this much I replied.

You dont have to thank me wifey he said. Still though thanks I said. No problem wifey

So how are the preparations going? Hisham asked. They are going pretty well, though I am very tired of them asking about my opinions it is really stressful I said.

Munira if it gets too much please rest, I dont want you to over-work yourself he said with worry in his voice. Okay, thanks for the concern I replied.

By the way, when are you resuming school? Hisham asked. I am resuming 2 months after our marriage inshaallah I said. Okay then, but how do you feel about going back, if you dont want to it is fine he said.

Dont worry Hisham I can inshaallah and dont forget, I am in my final year I cant miss I said. Toh shikenan he said.

Munira, will you go out to lunch with me tomorrow? Hisham asked. My heart beat picked up as it will be my first time out since the incident and also with a guy even though he is my fiancé.

And I also need to ask baba before agreeing and I honestly do not know how I will ask baba.

Umm I would love to but I need to ask baba I admitted. Do not worry about that I have already asked him Hisham said and that surprised me. Thanks, I was already thinking of how to ask without feeling shy I laughed and Hisham joined me too.

We continued talking about everything and nothing and then later ended the call. I am not going to lie to myself but I like how I feel while talking to him and he makes me feel safe too.

Something tells me that I and Hisham will go through a lot in the future but I know that we will overcome it, I could feel it in my bones.
