MUNIRA'S POV

My make-up was just finished and I am now getting dressed with the help of my mother and Sumayyah. We were having a light conversation while they were helping, everyone was already dressed and waiting for the call.

Mama left my room to go to her guests and sister, leaving me with my sisters, friends, cousins and in-laws.

As usual they were all teasing me and we were talking about everything and nothing. The men of the house have already left for the mosque where the knot will be tied.

The NIKKAH is supposed to be immediately after Jumuah prayers. After a while we all prayed and waiting for the call as the prayers were already done.

I suddenly heard a ping from my phone indicating a message, my heart started beating widely as I knew what the message might be.

Lo and behold, the message was from Hisham.

HISHAM: You are now my wife, love. I promise to be the best husband to you till the rest of our lives and may Allah reunite us in JANNAH my love. May we have the best of marriages.

I sat frozen with my eyes on the phone. My cousin Hibba was the first to notice and suddenly Sumayyah barged into the room.

"An daura!!!!!!!!" she screamed. Yodeling was heard all around the house with people screaming. " airiririririiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!! An daura auren Hisham da Munira!!!!!! Aiririririrriririiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!"

I did not know when I started crying, suddenly I was wrapped up in the arms of my girls while they were happy for me and also consoling me at the same time.

"Haba Munira, stop crying mana, everything will be fine INSHAALLAH" Hanifah said smiling but also had tears in her eyes.

I always thought that on my wedding day I will not cry but I just could not stop the tears as they rolled down my cheeks without stopping.

It was a mixed feeling of knowing you are no longer under your father but another man. I know longer had the freedom of going out without anyone's permission I have to ask before. My JANNAH is now under my husband, I have to cook for him make him happy and be a good wife. These feeling were over-whelming me.

"Oya Munira, wipe your tears kinji? Ya isa haka, you are in good hands INSHAALLAH" my pregnant cousin-Hamida- said.

My make-up was then touched up by the artist and there was no signs of me crying on my face.

Yodels were heard again a few minutes later and I knew that they have arrived. True to my word Zainab-one of my cousins- came in to say that the groom has arrived, and that i am to be at the palour before he and his people come in.

I was dressed in a white laffayah with flower lace designs at the bottom and edges with stones.

The girls including my in-laws and sisters and cousins were dressed in a green flay gown. It was tight at the bust and free from the waist and botton down from the neck to the waist. The material was designed with flowers a darker shade from the fabric with an army green patch on the shoulders and wrist.
