FINALLY! im sorry everyone... the hiatus wasnt as temporary as i thought... IM BACK THOUGH
no editing done, just wanted to finish it for you guys!
I stood in the middle of the dusty arena, the mysterious black horse inches from me. The dust began to suffocate me, scratching at my lungs while I re-read the message Brett said over and over in my head. I choked on my emotions, and my fingers trembled as I tried to hold my phone in my hand.
After standing motionless for over a period of time, reality began to sink into my mind.
I have never felt this ‘feeling’ I am currently dealing with.
A smile crept in the creases of my mouth as I wiped the screen with my thumb. Shivers of emotions shriveled down my back as I clicked the button on my phone ‘reply’
Me: I didn’t think anyone would ever ask me
My heart raced as I fought with the inner voices that made me doubt what was happening was real.
I took a deep breath as I pressed send and tension that formed inside of me was released. Even though I wasn’t exactly sure what happened, I'm happy it did. The smile didn’t seem to leave my mouth even after I sent the text, and I felt overwhelmed with happiness.
After living with my father, I never knew a guy would ever make me smile. All the males in my life have had negative influences on me, and their force and power that they possess frightens me to the bone.
A powerful stomp came from behind me, startling me, and reminding me I wasn’t the only in the arena. I slowly twisted my body to face the horse, my feet sliding delicately across the dusty ground, as if I was afraid I would wake up vicious grizzly bears.
As I stood directly in front of the beast, I felt a comforting feeling when I was with the horse. He made me feel relax, and not as lonesome as I’m so immune to feeling. The more I looked into his deep black eyes, the more I see of his troubled past.
His eyes may be pure black, but his flared nostrils made me notice the strength he once had, and the fire that was once still burning. Something happened to him however, that made that flame disappear and angst control him.
I lifted out my pale hand, resting it lightly on his smooth nostrils.
He is my savior
Because he is exactly like me.
We shall both grow from our weaknesses, and overpower them to freedom.
The word savior repeated itself through my mind as I tried to grasp what made me like the word so much.
“I will name you Savior,” I whispered, my breath brushing against his black coat. “My Savior.”

I sat on my wind sill awaiting for a response from Brett. I have been counting down the endless hours it has taken for him to respond. Every sound I hear in this abandoned like house made me look at my phone.
Eventually as the hours drag on dreadfully slow, I feel the myself dozing off into a restless sleep still gripping my phone.

My head bounced up from my elbow, squinting as the suns orange rays shone right through my window. It had to be at least seven o’clock, because the sun was beginning to set below the horizon.
Tick
The noise startled me as my eyes fought to focus on the light that blinded me from the world. As I looked around, frightened, I felt a cool object in my hand.
