Chapter 9

We walked back to the penthouse and by the time we opened the door, we saw a familiar lion known as Clay Calloway.

"You're Clay Calloway," I said.

"Yes, I am," Clay said.

I looked over his shoulder and noticed Buster was trying to hide in a suitcase.

"Mr. Crystal is aftering you, Buster," I asked.

"Yes, he is!" Buster exclaimed.

"We were right!" Phoenix and Nora exclaimed.

"We need a plan fast," Silver commanded.

"That's why we should jump out that window," Buster said.

We all jumped out of the window before Crystal's guards barged into the penthouse. We fell into the lazy river and started running our way to the Crystal Tower for the show. We immediately got ourselves into our costumes and Porsha comes in with Ms. Crawly.

"Porsha, you made it," I exclaimed.

"Yeah, well, uh, maybe I overreacted a little before." Porsha said.

"A little? You were, like, a total drama queen back there." Gunter said.

"Yeah, okay, we're all good now. Wow, my dad's gonna flip when he finds out about us." Porsha said.

"Well, we're safe for now, but listen, let's..." Cream said.

"Safe? (scoffs) Uh, no. None of us are safe." Porsha said.

"Mr. Moon, I know someone who can protect us." Johnny said.

"Big Daddy," I asked.

"Yep," Johnny replied as he took out his phone.

Meanwhile...

"All right, time to get us an audience." Buster said.

"Wait. Moon, as soon as you start inviting folks in here, hotel security will just shut us down, right?" Ash asked.

"Oh, it's okay. Rosita's got that covered." Buster replied.

"Norman, release the piglets." Rosita commanded through the phone.

The piglets came out of the elevator and started running around, causing a ruckus. While the security was calling everyone to floor 17, Tails activated the screen for everyone to see.

"Wait, uh, is it on?" Tails asked.

"Yes, it's on now." Ms. Crawly replied.

"(clears throat) Good evening. Uh, my name is Buster Moon, and it is my great pleasure to present to you, for one night only in the Crystal Tower Theater...a brand-new show called Out of This World. A musical space odyssey featuring the return of the legendary Clay Calloway." Buster announced.

Everyone started whimpering and muttering.

"That's right, Clay Calloway." Buster said.

Everyone started gasping and murmuring.

"And what's more, this show is completely free, so step right up, folks, and take your seats. The journey of a lifetime is about to begin." Buster announced.

"All right, folks, we all set back here?" Matilda asked until Big Daddy and his friends came in.

"There they are!" Big Daddy exclaimed.

"Dad. (chuckles)," Johnny exclaimed.

"Big Daddy," I exclaimed.

"Come here." Big Daddy said as he hugged us both.
