7 months later:

It was now the month of April and Aaliyah finally finished her last final of the year. She was happy that school was finally coming to an end meaning that she could focus on her career until senior year.

Taylor and Cali were currently over, doing whatever in the dorm. "I think i'm going to try out for the cheer team" Taylor said catching the other two girls' attention.

"You should, didn't you cheer professionally before?" Aaliyah questioned. "Yeah but that was like six years ago and I don't know how good I am now" Taylor said getting on her phone.

"I mean you should still have it, it's not like you can lose a talent so easily" Cali said eating an M&M. "Right, can I have one?" Aaliyah asked putting her hand out.

"Here, and just one" Cali said handing her the bag knowing damn well Aaliyah was going to get more. "Oh my gosh, you big bitch" Cali scoffed seeing Aaliyah take a handful. Aaliyah shrugged her shoulders "should've never gave me the whole bag and expect me to get just one, like who is that filling?"

"You're not supposed to get full off candy anyways, if your hungry go eat some real food" Cali rolled her eyes. "Fix me some then" Aaliyah said moving her hand towards the microwave causing Cali to laugh.

"I have something I need to say" Taylor said causing the laughter to die down. "What?" the two said in unison. "So I was talking to Nika in my last period.." Taylor started off causing Aaliyah to roll her eyes.

"Dont." Taylor said already knowing what Aaliyah was about to say. Aaliyah hadn't spoken to anyone from the basketball team for the last 7 months, not even Paige.

After her brother got out of surgery she made the choice to ghost Paige and anyone associated to her, only staying at Uconn until the end of volleyball season before returning to her hometown for 3 months. She eventually returned back to campus but she made sure to avoid the girl as much as possible.

She didn't want anything to do with Paige, honestly. Paige wasn't the type to chase after her too much either. She sent the girl two messages and when she received no response she didn't text anymore.

Not only that but recently it was going around Uconn that Paige was currently messing with a girl named Ivee. Aaliyah didn't feel any kind of way, just surprised that everyone knew Paige's business when she was always one to keep things quiet.

"Okay so Nika wants us to come to this end of the school year pool party that the team is throwing tomorrow" Taylor said before seeing Aaliyah glare at her. "C'mon Liyah it'll be fun" Taylor whined.

"You know I don't interact with them anymore" Aaliyah said lowly. "Aaliyah they miss you boo, we miss you" Taylor said getting up. "Yeah, you haven't been out at all since...you know" Cali said nodding her head.

Aaliyah just rolled her eyes, the girls pouting trying to convince her. She sighed before stating "okay" which caused the girls to cheer. "I'm going to send the details in the group chat" Taylor said going on her phone.

Aaliyah really didn't want to go but the girls were right, she hadn't been outside in months and this one party wouldn't hurt...right?

It was now the day of the party and it wasn't supposed to start until 3. The girls slept over in Aaliyah's dorm and they planned to go to the nail salon at 12.

"Cali can I use your edge control" Taylor asked, Cali going in her purse. "Y'all do we really have to go?" Aaliyah asked causing the girls to look at her. 

"Um yes we already told Nika we were coming" Taylor said rolling her eyes. "It's really not going to be that bad, if you don't want to interact with anyone then don't. Just say hey and mind your business" Cali said shrugging her shoulders.

"Is this about ole girl?" Taylor questioned furrowing her brows. "Hell no. I'm over that" Aaliyah replied causing Cali to sigh. "Y'all were so cute" she said causing Aaliyah to make a face.

"Forreal. But i heard she got a girlfriend now" Taylor said. "Yeah I know" Aaliyah said beginning to play with her fingers.

"Yall ready?" Cali asked grabbing her purse. "Been" Aaliyah said before the girls left the dorm on the way to the nail salon.

"When's the last time you talked to Spencer?" Aaliyah asked Cali. The three were currently sitting in the chairs getting their toes done. "Last month" Cali said causing the other two girls to gasp.

"Um excuse me, WHAT?" Taylor said moving her head so Cali could see her on the other side of Aaliyah. "Yeah" Cali said getting a little sad. "I thought y'all finally got back on good terms after it all though?" Aaliyah questioned, confused.

"Yeah we did but then it just went downhill" Cali said with a slight frown. "Downhill like how?" Taylor asked. "I found out that he was messing with this girl" Cali responded.

"WHAT?!?" both Aaliyah and Taylor asked in unison. "Girl wait, who?" Aaliyah asked getting anxious.

"Some girl named Ivee" Cali said. "Ivee who??" Taylor asked, mouth slightly open. "I don't know, you want her ig?" Cali asked going on her phone. Aaliyah and Taylor gave eachother a look before seeing Cali put the phone in their faces.

"Oh no" Aaliyah said shaking her head. "What?" Cali asked confused. "Girl that's Paige girlfriend, or whatever she is to her" Taylor said causing Cali to give her a look. "What the fuck she doing messing with a nigga in Louisiana anyways" Aaliyah questioned.
