Abhira was devastated. Sitting on the stairs in the garden, she went through the course of events that happened in the past hour her eyes overflowing with tears.

"Kya hua Ruhi. Tumne hum sabko yaha kyu bulaya hai?", asked Kaveri.

"Abhi batati hun dadi-saa, ek min. Charu idhar aana", saying Ruhi turned towards Charu.

"Haa bhabhi boliye."

"Tm kaha thi itni der se. Kab se hum sab tumhe dhund rhe the."

"Wo bhabhi aaj office me thoda jada hi kaam tha isliye late ho gyi", Charu replied nervously.

"Office me kaam tha ya date par gayi thi?", replied Ruhi shocking Charu and Abhira to the core.

"Date???", the family uttered in unison.

"Haa Dadi-saa, maine apni aankhon se dekha hai Charu ko apne boss Dev Sekhawat ko hug kar hue. Aur dono Armaan se apne rishte ke baare me btane ko le kar baat v kar rhe the", Ruhi went on.

"Ye tum kya bol rhi ho Ruhi", Armaan said.

"Haa armaan main sach keh rahi hun. Aur ye baat Abhira ko pehle se pata thi aur ye in dono ka saath bhi de rhi thi", Ruhi replied trying to provoke Armaan and family against Abhira.

"Ae ladki, ye Ruhi kya bol rhi h. Tm pehle se janti thi Charu ke chakkar ke baare me aur tumne hume btana jaruri bhi nai smjha", Dadi-saa yelled angrily.

Abhira flinched and tried to say something, but before she could, Sanjay pulled her to the side and started accusing her.

"Tmne hi meri beti ko uksaya hoga is affair ke liye. Tm mere bacchon ki zindagi barbad karna chahti ho na. Kya dusmani h tmhri humse. Pehle Krish ko nachaniya bana diya aur ab Charu se ye sab karwa rahi ho. Yahi parwarish ki h kya tumhri maa ne tmhri, ki dusron ke bacchon ko galat raste par le jao. Jaisi tm khud ho waisi hi mere bacchon ko banana chahti ho", he yelled at Abhira.

"Tmhri himmat kaise hui ladki Poddar khandan ki bacchi se ye karwane ki", Kaveri shouted.

"Isme bhabhi ki koi galti nai hai, unhone me to mujhe mana...." Charu tried to say but was interrupted by Ruhi,

"Charu tm bich me mat bolo. Yaha bade log baat kar rhe hain na."

"Kajal, Charu ko andar le kar jao. Iss ladki se hm nipat lenge", said Kaveri.

"Maine kuch nai kiya h Dadi-saa, maine to Charu ko roka bhi tha. Aur waise bhi ye Charu ki life hai, main isme bolne wali kon hoti hun. Wo koi bacchi to hai nai", Abhira said with tears in her eyes.

"Tumhe sharam nai aati Abhira. Avi bhi tum dadi-saa se behas kar rhi ho. Tumhe pata tha in sab ke baare me fir tmne kisi ko btana jaruri nai smjha. Are aur kisi ko nai Armaan ko to bta hi sakti thi na, par nahi, tumhe to har wo chiz karni hoti hai jisse family ko pareshani ho, unki badnami ho", said Ruhi trying to instigate Armaan.

"Ye sab kya hai Abhira?", shouted Armaan.

"Armaan meri baat toh suno."

"Ab sunne sunane ko reh hi kya gaya hai. Mujhe tumse ye ummeed nai thi Abhira", said Armaan, anger evident in his eyes.

And just then Sanjay, Kajal and Dadi-saa jumped on to Abhira, accusing her, badmouthing her and her mother, calling them names.
Abhira looked in Armaan's direction for support and their eyes locked.
She could see his eyes full of anger. Armaan turned his face away from her.

She was hurt, very hurt for that matter. The one she thought would understand her, would support her, would be by her side turned his face on her. The accusations were too much for her to handle so she ran away, into the garden, the place where she was supposed to be at that moment, the place where she wanted to start her next phase of life. And there comes Armaan. He was the one she wanted to spend her life with, wanted to start a new relationship with.
