After the final race before the winter break, all team principals are called for a meeting where the FIA dropped a bombshell. "Drivers must reside in one shared house during the break," they announced, "and they're not allowed to go out alone without permission."
Toto Wolff raised an objection, "Isn't that too rigid? What about their families?"
The FIA responded, "Drivers can visit their families for the first week of the break. After that, they must return to the designated house."
With no further conditions, the meeting ended, leaving the teams to relay the information to their drivers, who awaited anxiously in their respective garages.
In the Red Bull garage, Christian Horner broke the news to Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Max scoffed, "That's ridiculous!" while Checo expressed concern for his family, "But...I have a wife and kids. I want to spend time with them."
"At least they've given us a week to go back home," reassured Max.
Similar conversations echoed across the paddock. Some drivers grumbled about the inconvenience, while others, like Lando Norris, were excited to recreate his infamous Twitch quartet.
A week later, a sleek car pulled up in front of the F1 house. Lando Norris, with his trademark curly hair and a handful of suitcases, bounded into the house with anticipation. But as he entered, a heavy silence greeted him, and his excitement waned as he noticed a note in the living room detailing the house rules. He resigned himself to waiting for the arrival of his fellow drivers, sinking into one of the plush couches large enough to seat six people.
