1.) A retail store purchased a product for ₱10,000 and sold it for ₱15,000. The store incurred additional expenses of ₱2,000 related to the product. What is the store's gross profit margin?

Oh great im doomed. First question palang pero wala na akong masagot. 1-10 identifications will kill me.

I took my pad paper out of my bag. Doon nalang ako mag susulat ng formula kahit mali mali. I wrote down the solution.

Gross profit margin = (Gross profit/ selling price) * 100

Gross profit = selling price - cost of goods sold

Cost of good sold = purchase cost + additional expenses

= P10,000 + P2,000
= P12,000

Gross profit = P15,000 - P12,000 = P13,000

Gross profit margin = (P3,000/P15,000) * 100

= 0.2 * 100
= 20%

10.) A company's total sales for the year were ₱1,000,000. The cost of goods sold was ₱600,000, and the operating expenses were ₱200,000. The company also incurred interest expenses of ₱50,000. What is the company's net income?

So what to do? Argg come on lili, alalahanin mo tinuro ni sir Damian sayo.

Ok ok. To calculate the company's net income, i need to subtract the cost of goods sold, operating expenses, and... and what? Omg im so bobo talaga.

I saw Claire passing her test paper to our adviser. I faked my cough para mapansin niya ako. She raised her eyebrow at me.

Nang makalapit ay tinanong ko agad siya.

"Uy, you need to subtract the cost of goods sol, operating expenses and ano pa yung isa?" Tanong ko.

Umupo siya para kunwaring nag sisintas ng sapatos kahit Tuesday palang. "Interest expenses from the total sales." Sagot niya.

"Oh my gosh thank you thank you."

"What number ka na?"

"10 na me."

She gave me a smirked. "150,000 answer diyan."

I winked at her.

"Miss Torres, Miss Garcia, what are you too doing?" Puna ni Sir.

Tumayo si Claire sa pagkakaluhod. "I just returned the pen na hiniram ko kay Lili, Sir."

Before she left, i mouted thank you.

After answering the last question, binigay ko na kay sir and papel. Claire was waiting outside the room para sabay na raw kaming kumain.

Pagkalabas ko ng room ay nakita ko agad siya. "What's with that grumpy face, Claire?"

"Mom is inviting me to dine with them later."

"Oh what's the problem naman?" Curious na tanong ko.

"Himala nalang kapag naka survive ako ng dinner na walang away. They are so toxic and pathetic. They keep on hiding their tails and horns on the media."

Tumawa ako sakanya. "Kalma 'te. Tell them that we have an event later." Suhestyon ko.

"Later? Anong event naman 'yon?"
