A mirrored space is a space created solely through magical means, which can be seen as a "dimension" artificially created by humans, but of course, it cannot compare to the dimensions created by the Creator God. The former can only enclose a limited number of people.
For instance, just now, Yannick felt that the space was exactly the same as outside, but he couldn't see Chris and the others, which led him to think he was in a dream or an illusion.
"Can you create a mirrored space?" Yannick asked again, dropping the formal address in front of others.
Chris replied, "The ability to split space may only be achievable by Archmages or above, but for demons, it's the same. Not every demon can create a mirrored space."
The priest frowned. "So, the demon possessing Asur must be very powerful?"
"Perhaps it has some special abilities," Chris replied.
From the circumstances of last night when the demon rescued Yannick from the demon, it was evident that the demon's abilities were not low. As for why it easily gave up its prey, it remained a mystery for now.
The two fell silent, each lost in thought.
The cloaked mage was pondering the demon's strength and strangeness, while Yannick was troubled by another issue.
Since last night, he had been constantly plagued by a faint, sticky, sweet fragrance that lingered around his nose, but he couldn't find its source. When he looked at the others, it was evident they couldn't smell it.
This strange smell had been bothering him like an itchy paw, constantly scratching at some nerve, making him drowsy.
Because of the events of last night, Yannick hadn't been able to sleep well. So, even though he looked tired now, it was normal. But in reality, his exhaustion was largely due to the influence of that smell.
"Do you smell..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Afra's exclamation came from up ahead. "Asur!"
As soon as they heard the name, everyone remembered the demon from last night. Lily and Daniel even drew their wands and swords in preparation. The swordsmen also drew their swords.
Asur was found lying under a tree ahead, apparently unconscious.
Afra, not taking any chances, first confirmed his identity through tracking magic, then looked at the others for input.
A swordsman was the first to voice opposition. "None of us knows if he's still sharing a body with the demon. We can't take him with us!"
His opinion basically represented the sentiments of the swordsmen. Though Feizel didn't speak, his expression showed the same disapproval.
Afra bit her lip, torn between her sense of duty to her friend and not wanting to cause trouble for others. So, she was conflicted.
Even Lily suggested, "Afra, maybe we can cast protective spells on Asur first, then when we find Sofia, we can come back for him."
Amidst the discussion, Asur stirred, slowly opening his eyes.
"What's going on..." He held his throbbing forehead, his expression pained and confused.
Everyone looked at this "normal" Asur, not daring to let their guard down.
"Asur?" Afra tentatively asked.
"Of course, who else could it be! I say, what the hell is going on?... Damn, my head hurts! Someone help me up!" He shouted, typical of Asur.
No one stepped forward.
