"I'm so excited to see you guys," Jisoo screamed as she ran up to Roseanne and Lisa and jumped into Lisa's arms. When Lisa put her back down, Jisoo looked between the two of them, a confused smile on her face. "Did you two come together?"
"Yeah, it's, uh, closer to the city from my place so Roseanne came to me. That way we can take a rideshare back together at the end of the night."
Jisoo's smile became even wider. "To your place? Together?"
Lisa shrugged. "Yeah. For logistical purposes."
Roseanne laughed internally as Lisa used the same excuse she had when she first asked her to stay over. If logistical purposes meant Lisa going down on her when she had barely made it through the door to her apartment then it wasn't a lie. She needed to stop thinking about that though or she would be way too turned on with no outlet until the end of the night.
Any amount of turned on she was feeling melted away when she saw Haein walking over with Mingyu at his side. Mingyu had a sneer on his face, and Roseanne was sure he had something douchey to say.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't little Miss Best Man." Mingyu looked her up and down. "Sounds fitting."
Haein shoved an elbow hard into Mingyu's side, making him lose his breath. "Shut up, dude. No one wants to hear it." He reached his arms out toward Roseanne and pulled her into him. "Ignore him. He's just jealous."
"There's just four more people coming," Jisoo explained once the greetings were over. "It's two of Haein's friends from high school and two of my friends from college. I'm honestly surprised we could get that many people on such short notice, so I'm excited."
Jisoo's eyes focused on something behind them and before Roseanne could turn around, two high-pitched voices were ringing in her ear. "Jisoo! Lisa! I can't believe the whole gang's back together again."
Roseanne watched as Lisa greeted the two girls with big hugs. After Jisoo gave them hugs as well, she turned toward Roseanne. "These are our friends, Minnie and Hyeri. They were in the dorm room right next to ours freshman year and we've been besties ever since."
"Yes. Except now they all have men in their lives leaving me all alone," Lisa said while wiping at a fake tear.
"If you're looking for a man, he's right here," Mingyu said, a shit-eating grin on his face that Roseanne wanted to slap right off.
Lisa laughed, but Roseanne was happy to see she didn't seem impressed. "The only man I see is the one who's getting married."
Roseanne laughed out loud at Lisa's comment, causing Mingyu's attention to turn back to her. "Did you have something to say, Miss Best Man?"
Roseanne was about to tell him just what she thought about him when she was interrupted by Haein's friends, Jin and Bohyun. After more introductions were made, they were taken to their table that Haein had reserved in the back of the restaurant.
Roseanne watched as Lisa took a seat by Jisoo and was disappointed when Mingyu went to sit in the seat on the other side of her.
Lisa put her hand down on the chair as he tried to pull it out. "Sorry, little boy, this seat's taken." She confirmed what Roseanne was hoping was the case when she looked at her with a smile and winked, tapping the chair in a way that told her it was all hers.
"Why, thank you," she said as she sat down, ignoring the way both Jisoo and Haein watched their interaction.
Once they were distracted by other conversations, Lisa leaned in close to whisper in her ear. "Not going to lie. I wish we weren't separating at all tonight." She ran her eyes up and down Roseanne's body in a way that only she would notice. "I know I said it already, but that dress looks really good on you."
