On top of the iceberg

When the two hunters and a sorcerer saw the map and then looked out the window, they realized how huge this ice block was. No, it wasn't an ice block; it was more like a gigantic iceberg.

The boys were amazed when they saw it; their expectations were nowhere near as grand as the iceberg

The boys were amazed when they saw it; their expectations were nowhere near as grand as the iceberg. As they continued to stare at the iceberg, Gon got an idea. Gon: "How about we train on that iceberg?" he said as if it were no big deal. Gojo looked at Gon skeptically and said, "If you guys don't mind possibly -10 to -20 degrees, I'm in." Gojo was right; it would likely be around -10 to -20 degrees.

Gon's POV:

"Are we just allowed to go off the ship like that?" Killua asked. "Oh right, uh, hey Kurapika, is it still possible for the boat to keep going after that accident?" I asked. Kurapika replied, "The people said it would take a little longer to keep going now because the ship is slightly damaged. We'll probably have to stay here for a while since the ship needs to be repaired. So, can we get on the iceberg now?"

Gojo said, "Maybe." "Alright then, let's go!" Killua and I said simultaneously, and we ran towards the exit of the ship. Of course, Gojo followed us. When we reached a door, there was a man standing there. "Excuse me, would it be alright if we went outside for a while?" I asked.

The guard replied, "I don't really care. If you get attacked, that's your problem. Besides, it's really cold out there. I don't think you'll last more than five minutes. So go ahead."

The man gave us full access, and we headed outside.

When we were outside, we stood on an ice surface that was luckily thick enough, otherwise, we would have fallen into the cold water.

Killua said, "You have to admit, it's not that cold, don't you think?"

"Yeah, I think it's because our aura is protecting us from the cold," I replied.

Killua then asked, "Speaking of aura, Gojo, which aura type do you belong to?"

Gojo responded, "I was taught something different. Did you know there are two things you can learn here? Curse techniques or Nen. I chose the curse techniques. They are a bit different from Nen but still effective. And you, as my son, Killua, I thought you would have chosen the curse techniques too, although some say that Nen is as strong as the curse techniques."

Killua retorted, "Hey, just because some say it doesn't mean it's true."

"Anyway, how about we train up there on the top of the iceberg?" I suggested, pointing to the summit. "We climb up there and then train. The cold would add a huge challenge."

Gojo said, "That's an idea! Let's start with a race. The last one to the top is a weakling." And with that, he took off running first.

"Hey, wait for us!" Killua and I shouted as we started running after him.

As I ran up, it was really slippery, and I almost slipped several times. So, I decided to grab onto an ice pole to climb up. When I got a bit higher, my hands started getting much colder. Killua and I were at the same height, but Gojo was already far ahead. I couldn't see him from my position. He is truly amazing. Is he really Killua's father?

"HEY, DON'T SLACK OFF DOWN THERE!" Gojo shouted from the top.

"WHAT? You're already up there?" I called back.

"Of course I am," he replied.

Killua and I really need to catch up to that guy.

One hour later, we were almost at the top. Killua and I were still at the same level. My fingers hurt from the cold, but there were only a few meters left, maybe three or four—I don't know, I'm not good at math.

"Hey Gon!" Killua called out. I looked at him, and he was climbing faster.

"HEY!" I shouted. I did the same and climbed faster too. We were now side by side, trying our best to reach the top.

"First!" we both shouted, and we climbed to the peak, standing there.

"I was first!" I shouted.

"What are you talking about? I was first. My hand touched the top of the iceberg first," Killua said angrily.

"No, mine did!" I shouted back, equally angry. We looked into each other's eyes deeply and then started laughing. Gojo just looked at us, stunned.

"This reminds me of the Hunter exam. We had a race and argued about who got there first," I said, laughing.

Killua laughed too and looked at Gojo. "So Gojo, who was faster?" Killua asked him, laughing.

Gojo replied, "You were both equally slow, so congratulations, you're both weaklings."

"HEY!" Killua and I shouted. Gojo just laughed at us.

A bit later, I realized how high up we were. It looked really beautiful from the top of an iceberg. You just had to get used to the cold, but otherwise, it looked really nice. Killua stood next to me, as did Gojo.

"This is really beautiful, isn't it?" I said happily.

"Definitely," Gojo agreed.

Killua said, "Yeah, but Alluka will be here somewhere, I know it for sure, and I will save her, I guarantee it."

I looked at Killua sympathetically and patted his back. I saw a small tear come from Killua's eye, so he looked down to hide his face with his hair. I looked at him, and he looked back at me. I smiled and tried to brush the hair out of his face, but Killua then looked in another direction.

"We will find Alluka, I promise you, Killua," I said.

Gojo said, "Okay, enough looking around, it's time to train!"

The end.
