Jennie's got her first period. She was still 12 by that time. One morning the not so little girl woke up feeling something wet in between her legs. When she got up, she headed straight to the bathroom, wondering if maybe she had wet her pants during her sleep. But, surprise! It was just her puberty speaking.

The youngest Kim, shyly, walked up to her unnie after she got out of the bathroom...

- Hm, good morning unnie - said Jennie a little embarrassed.

- Hey, darling, good morning! How did you sleep? - asked Min-Jung with her strong Kiwi accent.

- Okay. Yeah. Thank you for asking, unnie - the young girl replied.

- Come on, honey, let's eat breakfast now - said her unnie.

- Sure, but, can I talk to you for a minute? Thanks. So, I think I may have kind of had my first period during last night... - said Jennie after her "mom" nodded her head.

- Oh. Did you? - asked Min-Jung.

- Yes, unnie... Can you please help me deal with that? - pleaded the young girl.

- Sure! Come with me to my bathroom. I'll explain all you got to know - happily, Min-Jung said.

The day Jennie saw her best friend, after the morning greetings, this new experience was the first thing she started talking about. And, for her surprise, Rachel had already had her first period last year, a week before Christmas. Anyway, they kept talking about that matter for a little, before having to go to their classes and, eventually, stop their conversation.

A MONTH LATER - AT RACHEL'S HOUSE

Jennie and Rachel were getting ready for a party. It would happen at Noah's house. Yes, that Noah...

- Can you hand me that eyeliner, please, Rach? - said Jennie in front of the mirror while pointing at it.

- Sure - said Rachel, handing it to her.

*silence*

- Hm, Jerry, are you nervous? - asked Rach.

- No, not really. Why? Are you? - the korean girl asked back.

- Hm, yeah... It's a party at Noah's, remember? - replied the blonde, a little self conscious.

- Oh shit, you're right, I completely forgot about that - remembered Jennie.

Well, after what Rachel's korean friend told her that day, about Noah and his little interest on the blonde, she kind of started to retribute his glances and compliments. And of course, Jennie would watch everything developing very close to her eyes.

This one day, the boy and his friends came up to both girls during lunch and invited them to Noah's birthday party. Since that day, they've been constantly talking about it. But Jerry, somehow, managed to forget about the fact that her best friend's crush would be at the party. Until now, Jennie, very introvert and shy, still didn't have any crushes, or it was what she thought.

It was 7:30pm by the time that they got ready to the fiesta. Jennie was wearing a black tight long sleeved shirt and a grey loose skirt paired with some black Adidas shoes. On the other hand, Rachel was in a glittered navy blue dress, also wearing some Adidas black shoes. they decided to match them that night.

When they got to Noah's house, the time was 8:45pm, and it was full of kids, and some adults, of course. The children were all casted on the back garden, while the older people were inside the house, having a little wine and eating some appetizers.
