This is a Max x Reader, but the characters are all aged up to be 15-16 (unless said otherwise) because writing fanfiction about a 10 year old is a lil bit... odd 😭
I've seen some people write LEMONS about Max even without aging him up and it's so weird. That's a kid. This will mostly include only fluff and that typa shit and will remain strictly SFW!!
A lot of Max x Readers don't have Max interpreted accurately according to the show (basically out of character) so I wanted to just screw everything and make my own (no offense to any writers out there, your fics are great regardless!!) Not saying my version will be the most accurate because I don't even know what I'm doing, I'm just hoping it's not absolute ass 😭
also if anyone noticed, the title is a reference to the song "despair" by leo, since I thought it'd fit well with this story !! (cheesy, I know)

- This is a Fem!Reader, SORRY TO ALL MY MALE AND NON-BINARY READERS ☹️☹️
- I literally have no idea how to use wattpad (for writing stories, I only read them 😭) so if I make mistakes, IM SO SORRY
- In this story (Y/N) hates her full name and prefers to go by her nickname/preferred name, which can be whatever you guys want!! Just wanted to be a lil more creative here, but if you don't want this, you can ignore any parts that involve this
- I already have the 1st-2nd chapter drafted and currently being edited, I just wanted to post the prologue (and I might post the first chapter today) and see if anyone likes it (that is, if anyone even reads this 💀)
