"Crap!" Sam cursed.
He was the most filtered one here.
He raced down the trail, hot in pursuit.
I was close behind, following the man who was responsible for many counts of sexual assault and animal cruelty and- who knows what else.
You know em, you hate em, you guessed it: Jack.
He had escaped the hollowed tree (which we had decided would become some sort of prison), and we now chased after him as he ran surprisingly fast.
One cat or person would gaurd the hollow every five hours, then we switched. We had decided on a cycle of gaurding: Marc, Sam, Me, Corn, Zooms, then Caesar.
Every time we had a prisoner, we would go in that order.
When it was Sam's turn, Jack escaped. Why?
I came over to the hollow tree with chicken wings, and Sam lost it. He immedietly bolted for them as soon as he spotted me holding them.
When I looked behind Sam, I saw Jack running in the opposite direction.
Looking to my right, I spotted Caesar running, and I swear I could compare her to a bolt of lightning 'cause she was quick.
Suddenly, Jack disappeared. Me, Sam, and Caesar stopped dead in our tracks.
What. The. Hell... is that-
In front of us stood a giant mechanical robot. Through a window on the head of the robot, you could see him- Jack was inside, laughing maniacally.
I took an earpiece from my pocket, and shoved it in my ear after shouting: "Earpiece on!"
Sam put his earpiece in, Caesar had a collar with a built in communication button, so she was fine.
"Scatter!" I yelled. Sam and Caesar ran in two opposite diresctions. "Sam!" I hollared, pressing the comms button on my earpiece.
"Go for Sam!" Sam shouted back.
"Grab Marc, tell him to come here. Caesar!" I called out to Caesar.
"Here!" Caesar panted through the comms.
"Don't go home! Make sure you aren't followed first! Same to you Sam!" I ordered as I dodged a blow from Jack.
I know Jack isn't smart enough to do all this. Someone else is the mastermind, someone else is making these plans, Jack can't be the only one hired, there could be more.
Jack swung, and swung, but I dodged each attack easily.
When he threw his arm at me a seventh time, I leapt onto the arm.
Lucky number, please work!
I leapt in the air, over Jack's ither robot arm that tried to intercept me, and landed on the head of the robot. There was a panel, I grabbed a knife from my belt, and shoved it in the crack of the panel, twisting my knife, trying to open the head.
The arms tried to hit, but I ducked or jumped over them each time.
Finally, the panel burst open, and I stuck my hand through, grabbing Jack, and pulling him out. The machine immediately stopped moving.
Just then, Marc and Sam arrived.
I tossed Jack down the eight or nine foot robot, and Marc moved to the side, letting Jack fall to the ground instead of catching him, then he picked him up, and tied his arms together, taking a protesting Jack away.
I huffed in satisfaction, and gazed at the inside of the robot. There was a weird symbol carved into it, im the shape of an S.
I shrugged it off, and decided to destroy the robot, so I tore off scrap by scrap, and damaged them to the best of my abilities.
