Saren Arterius x Fem.Shep (Lemon, AU, rough) ps(that's my art :} took like three hours, also had to modify it so wattpad doesn't take it down.)

Malediction - a magical word or phrase with the intention of bringing about evil or destruction; a curse.

Saren P.O.V.

The days rolled on as an everlasting grind, being the council's number one maid was no minimal task- I couldn't recall the last time I sat and drank some fresh palaveni kava.

Kava...

Jane.

The human specter had me absolutely captivated since our first meeting. Her exotic red hair always seemed to be illuminated with the scent of freshly boiled kava, and her eyes, the color of rare gemstones, always glinted as she looked up at me, almost as if she were sizing me up. I don't think she meant to enchant me, but that woman truly changed my life, bringing back some semblance of the being I was before becoming a specter.

Yet..

It's been almost a year since I gazed upon her captivating beauty. She consistently stays one step ahead of me, eluding my every attempt to connect. A part of me suspects that she finds it all to be a playful game, but based on our last encounter, I doubt that's the case. Could it be that I've  offended her?

*Ten months earlier*

Her lips parted in a sigh- it stings my ears, as I turn around, eyes meeting her Lazer stare, i wanted to chastise her for pressuring me like this.

"Saren," she exclaimed sharply, her voice carrying a thinly veiled warning as she slowly uncrossed her arms, revealing the tension in her body.

"No, Jane. Do you and I truly understand the significance of this? Why do we feel the need to categorize it?" I expressed with irritation, my brow plates twitching in agitation as I mirrored her sigh. My sharp talons rhythmically tapped against the wall as I shook my head, unwilling to acknowledge to myself the true nature of our connection.

"Is this just for fun, or is it something more?" she scoffed, her body turning away from mine. "It's all well and good if it's just for fun, I understand that. But I'm at a point where I want to move forward. I'm ready for something genuine." Her voice quivered with emotion as she spoke, and the gravity of her words lingered heavily in the air.

Her lithe figure caught my gaze and I uttered, "Jane, please don't push this."

Jane whirled around to face me, her forefinger inches from my face. "Saren," she said, her voice low and menacing, "either you give me an answer right now or you'll wish you had- to every spirit out there." Her expression was fierce, her green eyes boring into mine, searching for any sign of weakness or flaw. I could feel the intensity of her gaze, and the heat of her anger radiating from her body.

As I growled in frustration, I threw out a dismissive gesture with my talon and turned on my heel to leave the apartment. A fool had walked out of that building - a prideful old Turian, with not enough to lose.

*Present*

Though we had been apart, i found my loyalty truly did lie with jane, as even through all this time, i've kept to myself and held no other lovers in her place. Honestly, in truth no one could ever compare to her.

As I deftly access the environmental scanners, my goal is to survey every inch of the expansive space station known as "Purgatory." If my Shepard were present on this station, I would locate her and obliterate this wretched place to dust. Once again, the council has kept me uninformed about her purpose for being in this particular location. As the security scan swept through the station, my mind drifted back to memories of her. Some of the moments when we were closer than I had realized.
