When Evelyn woke up, she instantly started panicking. She thrashed violently, trying to break free from the ropes that restrained her hands. "Ah, I see you're finally awake." A familiar voice alerted her. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this. Damian, give me the knife." Alessandra declared, holding out her hand expectantly. Damian placed the sharp blade into her hand. Evelyn watched in horror as she saw dim light flash on the knife's surface, indicating just how sharp it was. Just as the knife was about to cut into Evelyn, Alessandra abruptly turned around, slitting Damian's throat strategically, making sure to only slit a part that would hurt, not kill him. "I know you've been dropping hints. I know you knew you were being followed yet still allowed Evelyn and Amara to find us. This is your first and last warning. If this happens again, you don't want to know the consequences." No matter how hard Damian tried to speak, he couldn't. After a while, he settled for a nod. "Now, back to you," Alessandra said, turning to Evelyn. "I hate that it came to this, but now your time has ended. You could have avoided this by just living your life and not hurting innocent children when you were young. You deserve this." At that moment, Damian sprung up, grabbing the knife from Alessandra's hand and cutting Evelyn's ropes so she could get free. "You.. you FOOL! I so graciously granted you another chance, but no, you had to go and waste it." Alessandra screamed angrily. As Alessandra ranted, Evelyn fell to the ground, trying to find a weapon to defend herself. She finally found a gun, and after checking, she found that there were only three bullets. She fired one and missed. The second one hit a mirror that shattered and fell to the ground. Before she had the chance to fire the third one, Alessandra grabbed a big piece of glass and stabbed Damian, brutally gouging his throat out. Evelyn stood there transfixed, horrified by what was happening in front of her. After successfully killing Damian, Alessandra turned her predatory gaze to Evelyn. "You see, I don't care if the person is my very own brother, I will not hesitate to dispose of them if they don't do my bidding. You all are pawns, insignificant, and disposable. I will win, but first, it's your turn." Alessandra smirked, giggling psychotically. Evelyn finally snapped out of her trance and shot the last bullet. It landed in Alessandra's chest, killing her instantly. Evelyn had just enough strength to call the police before her eyes slowly started to flicker, welcoming her to a dreamless sleep.
