Welp. First period was a mess.
I go to my locker with Omar. "So, about that watch?" Omar asks. "Oh, right. I just wanted to say, uh..." I thought about what to say for a sec, as I didn't want to mess up on the first day I got this. "I just wanted to say I got this watch, nothing much else." Omar looked a bit skeptical at first, but shrugged it off pretty quickly and said it was cool. Suddenly, I feel a pinch in my back. I look behind me, but all I can see is the endless traffic jam of students and the mindless conversations they're having. "Did you see who did that?" I ask Omar. "See what?" He asks. "Nevermind," I say. "I just felt someone pinch my back or something."
The bell rings right as we enter second period, and people have gotten into groups of 2. "Welcome," Ms. Baray welcomes us. We are the last people to enter the room. "Seeing as you both are already in a group of 2, just find a seat and let's get started!" Quickly, we both find a seat to sit at and we listen, curiously. "So, class, today I will assign you guys a project. It will help you learn more about eachother. I would like each group to make 2 presentations. Each person will try to make an "All About Me" about the other. Alright?" She said. She passes out papers with more info. I look at Omar as if I knew everything about him, but he was rather worried.
"I know nothing about you!" He tells me as we walk out of class and to third period. "But that's the point!" I reply laughing. "Should we meet up after school?" He asks. "Sure. In the library?" I reply. "I was thinking your house. That way I could also get to know more about your family, too." I think about this. Our house is a big mess. Also, all we have is microwaveable food, so no snacks. Plus, we're having some construction in the back so we can get a pool. All this is enough to make me reply with a simple, "Nah, my house is a big mess." "Alright. That's fine." He says. "Oh, by the way, my mom might call me back home because my brother has a soccer game, so depending on how tired she is from work, I might leave before we get to the library. Don't worry, i'll text you."
A few hours later, school is over, and I check whether or not Omar is at the library.
He's not.
Today I came to school on my bike, so i take it from the racks and start heading back home. The ride itself felt much shorter than how it is walking. Once I arrived home, I was able to hear my mom upstairs talking to herself, something about screws. I went up to check it out, and found out that she was trying to build an IKEA table for the office room in our house. "Hey, bud. I've been building some furniture all day. I left them unorganized in your room as I thought maybe you'd like it decorate it yourself." She says. "Thanks, mom." I say, slightly smiling. "Also, I left some more furniture for downstairs in the garage. Tomorrow after school can you help me with it?" She asks. "Sure." I say.
I leave to my room. There's a table with a table lamp and a chair, a mirror leaning against a wall, some clothes drawers, and a bed. I push as hard as I can to the top left corner of my room. I then set it with some maroon bedsheets and a white blanket with a striped light green-light blue pattern. I set the drawers side by side right next to my bed. It reaches the top right corner. I place the mirror leaning on the wall opposite of the drawers at the bottom right corner of the room. Finally, I push the desk and chair each to the bottom left corner of the room.
I step back as I take in all the work i've done. My room looks pretty nice as of now. I remember my mom telling me that we'll be building more furniture tomorrow for the downstairs area. So, I open my laptop and create a Google Slides, that of which we'll be using for our project. Then I texted Omar the link to the presentation, as well as some of the required information he needs about me for the project. I also add a "I can't work on the project after school. Cleaning up my house. Maybe we can work on it in class with Ms. Baray's permission?" and close my laptop.
For dinner, i'm eating spaghetti and meatballs. Yum! Microwaveable food is honestly great in my opinion. Of course, it's very unhealthy and it'll probably make you sick after eating alone for a few consecutive days. Then again, we should be set by next week, so only a few more days until we can start eating some nice, healthy, well-cooked meals. Pretty soon it's 10:17 PM and I'm getting ready for bed.
Once i've lied down, I start pondering about the watch. I mean, this is literally a gift from God himself, tell me that isn't awesome. But what have I done with it yet? Absolutely nothing. Nada. Not a single person destined for heaven or hell, just been a watch on my wrist.I figure I should be using it soon. So I figured that I'd talk this one kid at my school who's had a pretty large reputation.
A large reputation for illegal black-hat hacking.
