Back through the broken city and past the still oil stained maw of the colony, Sarah was in a rush. Parent-Teacher conferences, having to manage two kids as a single mother and her job all ravaging through her time. That's what dating a raider does to you, shame the peace treaty wasn't kept but at least her kids hadn't met the same fate as her second and oft disliked husband.
Sarah's most important job as of now was the management of the entire WDF force, and how the blue lighted drone wished her mentor figure was still alive. Heck any of the Doorman family besides the little gremlin they had half raised would of done a better job then the frequently overworked leader the colony had now.
The WDF also seemed to be the only leading authority that kept these halls in order, their office being a frequented part of Sarah Day's life and where she now resided. The parent grabbing a slick looking black trench coat that somehow managed to complement her faded green hardhat and oversized black shirt as she ordered, asked favours of those who were technically her underlings.
"Frank. Could you and Tim go see what you can do for that hole in the roof? Burten, you mind running things here for me? I have an arranged meeting to be at."
Faded LED lights dimly lit the cramped office of the WDF as the members complied with her wishes and Sarah herself whisked away to the school section of the colony. Thankfully there were a few labelled halls to help her along, not that she needed them with how long she had lived in and even helped refurbish parts of the bunker back in the hay days of this now worn out fortress.
The Parent-Teacher conference had already started, the classroom it was stationed in now decorated with a large banner that brightly stated the name of the event. A few students lazed around at the tables that had been moved to the side and back of the room, Lizzy chatting loudly with a bored looking Thad. The green eyed drone listening halfheartedly to another rant of fashion as he rested his head on the table, looking completely out of it.
Meanwhile, up the front with the teacher was Bethany and her father. Having just finished their chat with the teacher the pink eyed pair left him. Bethany's auburn twin tail styled hair almost sweeping along the floor as she waved a awkwardly silent goodbye to the class.
Among the rest of the student body was Jackal, sitting on the table behind Thad and evidently eavesdropping on their conversation. Separate to the rest of the students was Riley. Who was nervously trying to judge the room's vibe as he sat again separate from the last two students present. Vibe was, not pleasant but not bad either.
Those last two students were the faded purple hoodie wearing Zane along with Emily, who had her signature blue coloured and slightly oversized tee shirt on. With the former leaning smugly on the latter as Final Girl perused her book with a determined look, trying her hardest to remove the blush lights that emanated from her visor. How she had managed to get into a relationship at all was up to debate, not a debate anyone was interested enough to actually have though. They simply rooted for the shy girl. Youngest daughter of the WDF leader and she had managed to score an outsider or maybe, it was the other way around.
Jackal was more inclined to believe it was the second option, the orange eyed worker keeping a eye on the white eyed drone from across the room.
"Next." The teacher's plain voice stated into the class as Yeva, in particularly nice timing returned to the room alone. An assortment of coloured visors glanced up at her before returning to their own doings, the teacher noting that Yeva's child was missing but chose to not speak up on the topic yet.
"Miss... Yeva. Forgot your family had no last names, makes things.. Interesting." The teacher kicked off the conference as Yeva took a seat in front of him. The teacher's aid took a glance at the red eyed mother before leaning back in her chair and opening a DAW on her visor, light briefly reflecting off the name pin she had on her red cheerleader shirt. Kelsey Day.
