A minute passes. Heat waves washing over the trio in futile attempts to harm them. After the heat had passed over them and it was safe to stand up, Rebecca did exactly that. Bolting upright from her position covering N, N who was covering Doll. He slowly moved off of his spot over the smaller girl as he let the dust and small amounts of rubble slide off his back.
A lone camera flicks up from under a shredded piece of sheet metal. All three of the drones watching as it tried desperately to keep up its illusion before it collapsed in on itself. The left half of Yeva's damaged body disappearing along with the camera as it shriveled into a small dark black hole and wandered away. Leaving N, Doll and Rebecca alone among the scorched ruins.
"That... She?" Doll stuttered out, the girls gaze locked on where her mother had been. The hologram of her mother, the fake version of the mother she still had.
"Uh heh. That's a big mess. Do we have to clean this all up?" Rebecca asks as she stood a metre or so away and gazed at the damaged hallway. Her eyes flaring brighter as something moved at the end of the hall.
"New plan, give a minute then we can leave. Alright." Rebecca doesn't even let them answer before she quickly but quietly stalks over to a large pile of rubble that was where their foe had been. Said pile slightly smoking with heat as she began to inspect it. Leaving Doll and N where they were, both sitting in their own pile of non superheated mess with wide eyes as they let silence reign between them. Heads whirring as they took a minute to themselves.
N giving a pained chuckle a minute or two later, his optics blinking once or twice.
"Hahaha... We just killed her.". His words barely rung out, anchored down by some unseen weight behind them and unheard by Rebecca. Doll however, did.
"... Yeah, N. Maybe... If I wasn't so trigger-happy and had let you talk her down yesterday then..." Doll weakly waved a hand at the rest of the hall. Trying to get a point across that she couldn't really find the words for.
She still almost couldn't believe that she had, again caused more lives to be lost. First letting the murder drones into the colony, now this.
N broke her out of these thoughts, although accidentally. His golden eyes shining brightly as he looked at her with some emotion she couldn't quite grasp.
"Well sure this could of been avoided... but V was going to kill you then. It was just self, defence." He reassured her, but Doll could tell that he was hurting too. Unfortunately before either of them could try to further work out their feelings, Rebecca jumped back from the pile she was looking through with a shout of surprise and fury.
A flesh like blob thing having pounced onto her face briefly before jumping off it and skedaddling across the floor with its three claw tipped legs. Its form both of metal and blood as it announced in the same voice as the monstrosity it had created before.
"Lmao. Get snuck upon.". Doll and N both watched wide eyed as whatever this thing was attempting to flee across the floor. Rebecca snarling once before she ran after it, putting several dents in the floor as she tried to stomp the thing to death.
"This is the part where we action sequence away from you.". It spoke up again while it deftly dodged another stomp. Rebecca only getting more angry with each of its plainly stated comments before she whipped out her purple shaded tail.
"We are way to fast for you toys to catc-" Turns out that was false, and the thing knew it. Now pleading in a plain voice as Rebecca continuously stabbed it through the centre with her tail. The girl looked like she was enjoying the scene as well, which was only slightly confusing to the pair of drones that watched on. N having his mouth agape as he tried then failed to speak.
