Chapter 4 Unwanted Trouble

Rarity ran to the nearest window. Outside Rarity could see ponies fleeing in every direction and two ponies lying on the ground covered in blood. Twilight dashed through Rarity's door. 

"Rarity where is she," Twilight screamed as she shut the door after two other ponies ran in the house.

Rarity ran to Twilight with Royal Rose behind her. 

" Rarity why did you keep her you heard what Kenya said," said Twilight angrily. 

"What is going on out there," Rarity asked wide eyed.

"Two adult mantis ponies are rampaging through Pony Ville killing everypony in sight," Twilight yelled.

All of a sudden it got real quiet even outside of the boutique. Then giant claws started ripping through the wall of the house. A mantis pony appeared seconds later. It grabbed one of the ponies that had ran in the house with Twilight. The mantis pony ripped the earth pony in half. The other mantis pony ran through the hole the other had made. The new mantis pony grabbed the other pony that had followed Twilight and mauled it till it stopped struggling and screaming. Both mantis ponies turned and focused on the three other ponies in the room.

Royal Rose was hiding behind Rarity who was frozen stiff because of what she just witnessed.

"Come here," demanded the female mantis pony.

Royal Rose didn't budge.

"Come here now," demanded the other mantis pony who was male.

Royal Rose still didn't move from where she was.

"Fine," said the female mantis pony.

She charged the three cowering ponies. Twilight jumped out of the way but Rarity was still frozen stiff and didn't move. The mantis pony grabbed Rarity and was about to rip her in half when Royal Rose pounced on her.

"Let her go," Royal screamed at the pony.

The mantis pony obeyed. Rarity came out of her shock to see Royal rose on top of her mother. But royal Rose now had arms with claws now too, just like the adult mantis ponies. Royal Rose was stabbing her mother in the side with her claws.

"You leave her alone," she said again.

"Now go away and never come back," she added as she released the female mantis pony and chased both out of the house.

royal Rose was even bigger now she was even bigger than an adult alicorn. She turned to look at Rarity.

"Are you alright," she asked with a concerned voice.

"Better then them at least," Rarity said as she glanced at the two dead earth ponies on the floor.

"I'am sorry for what has happened. I better go so no more harm comes to this little town. Bye Rarity i'll remember you and your generosity for helping me," Royal Rose said as she hugged Rarity and ran out of the boutique crying silently.

Rarity ran after her but Royal Rose disappeared at the edge of the Everfree forest. Twilight ran up behind Rarity.

"It's alright maybe you'll see her again someday," Twilight said trying to comfort the sobbing white unicorn.

"Now let's go DarkMist is in the town square trying to clean up the mess the mantis ponies made," Twilight added as she turned and walked away towards Pony ville.

Rarity took one last glance at the dark forest and turned to follow Twilight.

That night Rarity went to visit Fluttershy thinking that maybe seeing her shy friend would help cheer her up. It did a little, but not much. Rarity turned to look out of one of the windows that faced the Everfree forest. She saw on a tall tree a white figure of a pony a mantis pony. Rarity's eyes began to cloud with tears for that was the last time she ever saw the mantis filly Royal Rose.........
