Chapter 3 Mantis Problem

"What do you mean," Rarity asked the giraffe, Kenya.

"When i say that the filly's parents are dangerous, i mean that they will stop at nothing to retrieve their foal. Even if it means destroying a whole town or nation....," Kenya replied.

"You mean if we don't bring Royal Rose back to the cave, her parents will destroy Pony Ville," Twilight said as she backed in a corner.

"Yes, now how long have you had the filly," Asked Kenya.

"About a day," Rarity answered, "Why."

"Not good, you need to bring her to the cave now her parents will be here by tomorrow if you don't. If you don't now all of Pony Ville will be gone," Kenya exclaimed.

"What will happen if we don't," Twilight asked in curiosity.

"Her parents will come to claim her and will end up eating everypony in Pony Ville," Kenya explained to Twilight.

"What eat everypony," Rarity said as she nearly fainted.

"Yes, you see that the filly has two extra appendages on her chest. Will when shes an adult those will be long arms with giant claws to snatch other ponies up with to eat them," Kenya said with a worried tone.

"We better go now while we still have day light," Twilight said as she nudged Rarity to get off the floor.

Rarity sat there thinking. She didn't want to give up Royal Rose, to her she was her daughter. But at the same time she didn't want to put everypony in grave danger. Rarity thought for a moment and thought of what she Will do.

"Let's go then," rarity said as she finally got up.

When they reached the cave Rarity set Royal Rose down where she had found her. A tear slipped down her cheek, Royal Rose was also crying. But rarity whispered in her ear so Twilight couldn't hear. " Don't worry i have a plan," she said.

Rarity left the cave but returned to the cave after she had gotten back to Pony Ville with Twilight. She retrieved Royal Rose and left one of Sweetie Bell's dolls that she never plays with. After that Rarity sneaked back to Pony Ville hiding Royal Rose in a bag of cloth. When she reached her house she was exhausted so she gave royal a carrot that she refused and got into her bed. With Royal Rose cuddle next to her.

Mean while at the cave....

Two mantis ponies enter the cave in search for their foal. But instead they find a Celestia doll.

"What is this," One of the mantis ponies pony screams.

"Where is our daughter,"  The  other screams as it rips the doll to shreds.

They storm out of the cave in the direction of Pony Ville fully enraged.

The next morning Rarity awakes to find Royal Rose missing. Then she hears a loud thump come from her inspiration room. she goes to find out what it is. A she enters the room, she see's Royal Rose but she is bigger now about 3 quarters the size of Rarity and on the filly's flank there is a pink rose with a golden stem. Also in the room is a cloth covered modeling pony that Rarity often uses when designing a dress. Royal Rose turns around to look at Rarity.

"I have a surprise for you," she says as she walks to the cloth covered modeling pony and pulls off the cloth.

Under the cloth is a beautiful dress of pink and gold silk. It has pretty swirl designs on it and a rose on it that matches the one on Royal Rose's flank.

"I also got my cutie mark making it," Royal Rose said as she pointed to the rose on her flank.

"It's it's... Beautiful," Rarity said as she trotted over to Royal Rose and hugged her tightly. 

But Rarity let go of Royal when she heard a pony scream..........
