As the sun came down and Jump City drenched in soothing darkness, 2 superheroes were getting ready for a patrol. Members of both teams took turns in protecting the city at night and they strictly obeyed the pattern. However, the ones we're speaking of today purposely made their schedules align just so they can watch over the area together. Full of responsibilities everyday, they struggled to find time to spend with one another and patrolling the city at night seemed to be the best activity they could engage in for now. Dressed in all black with a gray belt stretched across her chest, Myth left the New Titans Tower and rang her companion on the way. He was already heading in her direction. Hearing that, the girl sped up her pace. She looked around, keeping her senses sharp to catch any screams or sounds of distress from the citizens. Trying to pay attention to anything and anyone suspicious, she saw a drunk girl walking on the pathway clumsily and wobbly. A random older man was following her, but also keeping his distance.

His sight was glued to the woman and possibly also her pink handbag. With the confidence of a strong man, Michelle made sure that the woman could pass her by and the guy stayed back. Each and every attempt he made to circle the Titan was quickly cut off. That resulted in his frustration.

"What is your problem?!", he yelled out angrily.

"Whatever you were thinking about doing to that lady behind me is my problem.", she responded in a heavy tone.

"And who are you to care?? Some policewoman???", he asked with his raspy voice.

"I'm the leader of the new generation of superheros.", she showed him her communicator as proof and hid it in her jeans. "Now go home.", she warned him and cracked her knuckles suggestively.

"Fine!! I'll go.", he moved 2 steps away and then headed back home with his hands buried deep in his pockets. "Damn kids... Do they ever sleep?", he muttered to himself, embarrassed about getting caught.

Myth stood there for a moment to make sure he really left. The woman wasn't in sight any longer, but she needed to know that he won't resume his hunt. Some older people in the city didn't care enough for superheroes and their existence and it was harder for them to recognize anyone from the New Titans team. Michelle didn't really hold that against them. She looked down at her communicator to check her father's localization, but before she could do it, a dark figure jumped down from a building she was standing by and landed right in front of her on all 4 of his limbs. Recognizing the person, she didn't even flinch. A smile appeared on her face when he stood up, maintaining a good posture.

"Good evening, dad.", she greeted him gladly.

"Good evening, sunshine.", his face lightened up. "What took you so long? I got into a fight already."

"I had a problem to solve as well.", she hid her communicator.

"A problem? What sort?", he got curious.

Michelle briefly explained the situation to him as they were walking in a random direction chosen by Robin. He understood and approved of what she's done shortly. Myth took that casual stroll as a chance to stick some bullets into her gun in case she needs to shoot, though she rarely did. Her movements were quick and precise, suggesting that she's done that many times before.

"You know, you were right. The black uniform really does make me feel cool.", he stretched out his arm and tensed his muscles to see how well it looked in his clothing.

"Told you. Black is amazing.", she reminded him calmly.

"I see it now. Who knows? Maybe my next suit will be black as well.", he thought about it.

"That is an idea.", she commented shortly and hid her gun in one of her deep pockets.

As the heroes kept walking and talking, they started to hear some aggressive barking of big dogs. They gave each other a meaningful side eye before they ran towards the source of that noise. They saw 3 middle-aged men beating up someone who was already laying on the ground. There were 2 dogs tied to a tree right behind them with heavy metal chains. One German Shepherd and the other - a brown Pitbull. They were barking at their owners very loudly and anxiously until one of them came over and gave his pet a kick in the mouth while cursing at it. Two heroes were stunned by that view. Robin was the first one to snap out of it, run up to the man and give him an even stronger kick in the face to make him experience what he did but worse. While her dad was handling the animal abuser, she decided to go get the 2 men who were about to kill the one laying on the ground.
