The wind was exhilarating around him when he walked out, eyes barely open, feet touching the cold floor, hair a mess, and falling on his forehead. It was still dark outside. The sun's rays were not reaching the end of his vision. He does not wake up at that time usually.

But today, it felt a lot different when the bed was cold and the space next to him was empty. He was well aware that he didn't have any drinks to have hung over and woken up to this, because why else would he be left alone in their bed? Where did his husband go?

He walked around the kitchen, scanning the place around, then the living and the dining area, only to find the place empty just like the other rooms in there. The house is a little big for them and their six members' families, but it never fails to provide a warm welcome to them when winter gets excruciatingly cold or whenever things go downhill.

It was also away from the chaos of the city, the chaotic sounds of the vehicles, and the busy people around, letting them have their own private time in peace.

Once he made sure that he searched for his husband in every corner of the cabin, he moved out, eyes now fully wide and awake; a little bit of panic started to build up inside him, but he covered it with hope when he found their cars and bikes still on the porch.

With a weak smile on his face, he walked towards the door to the backyard, a space they both love to visit when they want to have a break.

He peeked through the slight gap in the door, not fully opening it, and made sure of his assumption to be true. He then walked in that sleepy state to their kitchen, made a cup of warm drinks, and picked up a piece of pastry in the tray while walking out of the door to the backyard.

The place was cold, cold enough for his teeth to stutter, but he didn't mind. There was a fully grown cherry blossom on the side, near to it, placed a table with chairs around it. There were plants - both flowers and vegetables - making the yard look like a beautiful green bed. Even under the darkness of the night. He could spot his fully glowing husband as if he were the golden moon.

The said man had his cheek resting on the table, head turned towards the lavenders and lilies far away from them. He was in his pyjamas as well, fell asleep in a really dishevelled state. He looked peaceful and vulnerable in that state as he lay there.

When a chilly breeze touched them both, he shivered and snapped out of his trance while being lost in his husband's sleepy state. He wanted to hug and prep the man with kisses and also wanted to know what his husband was doing at that time instead of joining him in bed.

As he placed the tray on the table, he proceeded to pat the shoulder of the other man, for which his husband only squirmed, murmuring something under his breath. A smile lingered on his face when the sweet voice of his husband reminded him of a kitten's purr, and he ruffled the man's hair, this time waking up the other.

"Tae, bub, wake up."

Taehyung groaned lightly, plucking his head more into his hands while finding the broken sleep again. Though he knew he couldn't finish his sleep, he still tried his best to stay in that curled-up state, but the sweet aroma of his favourite drink came to his nostrils, and suddenly Taehyung wanted to wake up.

He wanted to embrace the positive of the new morning, the warm sun rays which were about to spread everywhere in a few minutes, and the sweet, gentle voice of his husband calling him to start the day in a good mood.

He felt the little touch on his shoulder, a gentle call of his name as the sweet feeling made his heart stutter. It only took him a moment to raise his head and look at his favourite face in the world.

"Taehyung, what the hell?!"

Wait.

That was not how that sound should make him feel. That's not what the words should do to his heart. This makes him sick, and he doesn't like a bit of it.
