Well, I guess the third time's not a charm
Nursing a three times broken heart
And down the rabbit hole againI put myself in another world
Where I can be any other girl
'Cause I don't really wanna face it'Cause, if it isn't real
You can pretend all you want
It's all you'll ever need"That's not healthy," they said
"To live in your head"
But it hurts a lot less to meI fall in love with boys I see on a TV screen
The ones in books who are as perfect as they can be
I spend all of my time imagining
What it would be like if they existed
My parents tell me I should look for one in real life
But I get let down by both the bad boys and the nice guys
I'm tired of giving more than I receive
So, I'll just stick to the boys
Who don't know meOh, I hid his number, I almost called
Like, maybe he's hurting after all
I can't afford to be that naïve
I'll just keep wishing it was me
In that ending sceneWhere they're meeting up halfway
And they're kissing in the rain
It's a little bit cliché
But I love it anyway'Cause it's better than when you're walking home
And the rain starts pouring
But you're all aloneI fall in love with boys I see on a TV screen
The ones in books who are as perfect as they can be
I spend all of my time imagining
What it would be like if they existed
My parents tell me I should look for one in real life
But I get let down both the bad boys and the nice guys
I'm tired of giving more than I receive
So, I'll just stick to the boys
Who don't know meI'd rather keep on dreaming of someone I'll never meet
than give love to another one who won't choose meI'd rather keep on dreaming of someone I'll never meet

I stopped singing, and the few people who gathered around me started clapping. I smiled brightly. "Thank you, everyone! I sing somewhere around here every Friday, so feel free to join!" I said happily. A few people left, and a few put some money in my guitar case on the ground. I grinned and started gathering the money out of it so that I could put my guitar away.
"Your voice is very beautiful," a voice next to me said. I looked up, and when I saw who was standing next to me, I was breathless. He looked at me with a smile, which made his already beautiful face even more so. His light hair was shining in the sun as he nervously brushed through it with one hand. It was one of the boys I once saw on a TV screen right in front of me. It was Yang Jeongin, and he was currently complimenting my voice.
I quickly stood up and smiled back at him, a slight blush on my cheeks. "Oh, thank you," I mumbled. "I don't know the song... where is it from? It's very beautiful as well," he continued to ask. I looked at him dumbfounded. "The song? Oh... I wrote it," I answered quickly. He widened his eyes in surprise. "Really? That's so good!" he said excitedly. I smiled shyly at him. "Thank you," I whispered. "So, are you really singing here every Friday?" he asked curiously. "Yes, not always in the same place, but I'm always around here on this street," I answered.
I tried packing up my microphone stand, but my hands were shaking so much at this point that I couldn't unscrew any of the parts to fold it together. "Oh wait, let me help you," Jeongin quickly said and put it together for me. "Thank you," I mumbled and just proceeded to close the zipper of the guitar case and sling it around my back. Jeongin looked at his phone. "Oh shoot, I have to go," he quickly said, "I really enjoyed hearing you sing. I'm Jeongin, by the way!" He gave me my microphone stand and already started to walk away backwards, continuing to look at me. "I'm Suki," I answered and smiled a little. He smiled back and waved one last time before turning around and walking away.

Jeongin stormed into the studio fifteen minutes late. To his luck, Seungmin, who was recording before him, was still in the booth. Still, Chan turned around and looked at him with a scolding look. "You're late!" he said. "I'm sorry, I got held up," Jeongin said and walked further into the room. "By what?" Chan asked curiously. He wasn't really mad that Jeongin was late. He was the Maknae, after all; he could do anything, and Chan would still be soft.
Seungmin came out of the booth, apparently finished for the day. Well, he had dance practice next, but he was finished recording. "Oh, there was this girl—" Jeongin started, but Seungmin interrupted him immediately. "A girl?" he grinned and wiggled his eyebrows, "what's her name?" "Suki. But it doesn't matter. She was singing this song, and I actually can't get it out of my head, so I walked up to her to ask her which song it was," Jeongin explained. "It doesn't matter? Why do you know her name, then?" Chan teased.
Jeongin felt his ears get hot. "Which song was it?" Seungmin asked, poking Jeongin in the side. He pushed his hand away. "She wrote it herself," he answered his question. "Did you ask her for her number?" Chan grinned. "No, I did not. I told you it's not like that," Jeongin answered and rolled his eyes. Chan didn't need to know that it was exactly like that. First, Jeongin just heard her voice, and it was like a siren pulling him in.
When he saw the girl singing, he forgot about the time and where he was going because she was so beautiful that it was almost impossible to think straight. "Seungmin, look! He's turning red!" Chan laughed. Seungmin laughed as well. "You have a crush!" he exclaimed. "I don't have a crush! I talked to her for like five minutes! Relax!" Jeongin defended himself, but he felt himself blush even more. "Will you see her again?" Chan asked, grinning even wider. "I don't know!" Jeongin said annoyed and walked towards the booth, hoping that this would end the conversation.
He was seriously thinking of going there next Friday again, but he had vocal practice, and that would mean that he would be late again. Still, he had the feeling that he needed to see her. Normally, he was careful when meeting girls. They could recognize him, after all, and spread weird rumors. He was sure she recognized him by the way how nervous she was. Her hands were literally shaking so much that she couldn't pack together her microphone stand after all. But she still treated him like a normal person. And Jeongin guessed that she was also just a bit shy, which was cute.
She didn't seem like the crazy girls that existed out there. And to push his ego, he thought about the fact that he probably was one of the boys she was singing about in her song, and he would make sure to be reaching the expectations she had. She seemed like a hopeless romantic, and he could serve her imaginations perfectly. He grinned to himself and put on the earphones. The plan worked; Chan was back to his producer self and did not want to tease him anymore. And Jeongin couldn't help himself when he sang the lines to the love song they recorded, thinking about her.
