One week later, I finished another song, and the small group of people around me started clapping. "Thank you, guys," I said into the microphone and smiled brightly. I already started playing a soft tune on the guitar when Jeongin suddenly stood next to me. I looked at him surprised. He was here? Again? "Can I play the guitar for you?" he asked and smiled. I blinked a few times before I understood his question. "Sure," I said and quickly gave him my guitar. "I've never done something crazy like that," I smiled. "Which song?" he asked. "I wanted to play the one you liked last time, but you probably don't know the chords to it..." I started. "I think I'll manage. It's stuck in my head since last week," he smiled. I looked at him surprised as he started playing the right chords. I just stared at him and his beauty for a moment before I remembered that I needed to sing.
When I finished the song, I was still a little bit in awe. So, I mumbled a quick goodbye into the microphone before turning it off. I turned to him surprised as he handed me back the guitar. "I didn't expect this," I said and couldn't contain a smile. Which girl could say about herself that I.N from Stray Kids played the guitar for them? Not many probably. "I thought it would be nice for your fingers to catch a break," he said and smiled brightly. I just looked at him for a moment.
He had some hair falling into his face that I badly wanted to stroke away. "Bold move to do that though, considering that someone could've recognized you," I quickly said, giving up my disguise. He should know that I exactly knew who was standing in front of me. I was a nervous mess yesterday, and I hoped he didn't realize that, but today it was easier talking to him. "I was standing here since you started to sing, if someone would have recognized me it would've been earlier," he said and shook his head. "I didn't see you earlier," I said and started to pack away my things. "Seems like you were really focused on singing. It was really beautiful, by the way," he said.
I smiled, and my heart started beating a little louder. "Thank you," I mumbled. How could a person be so nice? I needed to stop focusing on him so much. He was probably just being nice, and I already started to gain a crush on him. I probably just get my heart broken again because why would he, freaking Yang Jeongin, be interested in me? He just liked music really much and I probably was right on his way to wherever he was going. His phone rang, and he quickly looked at his screen. "Oh, he's going to kill me. I'm late already," he mumbled and ignored the phone call after this.
Suddenly he seemed a little bit nervous when he looked back up from his phone at me. "Uhm... I need to go now, but maybe... if you want, of course... maybe you could just give me your phone number? I could text you later," he stuttered. I looked at him in disbelief. "You want to have my phone number?" I asked surprised. I felt how it was getting harder for me to breathe. He smiled shyly at me, and my knees got weak. "Yeah," he mumbled and scratched the back of his neck nervously with one hand. It was so wrong because he probably didn't mean it like that.
But my heart just started to race, and I got all shaky again. I probably shouldn't give him my number, but I already started to imagine what it would be like if he really texted me. "Sure," I finally said against the voice in my head, hearing to the one in my heart. Even if the voice in my heart usually led me to weird situationships. I grabbed the pen I had inside of my guitar bag and gathered all my courage. Then I took his wrist and wrote down my phone number on it. "Don't wash it off," I joked. He chuckled and looked down at me. "Okay, I really have to go now, but I will text you, I promise!" he said. I smiled and waved at him while he was quickly going away. I really couldn't believe what just happened.
