Dabi was "strapped" to a chair. A metal nail in his left collarbone, shattering the bone. A metal nail next to his right collarbone since they missed his bone. A metal nail in his upper arm, through his muscle. A metal nail in his under arm, through his bone. Both sides are the same. Metal nails through his thighs, on the inside to make him cry and yell. A metal nail in his ankles, making him secure. It all hurted, he'd say. He's numb, and he hated it. Covered in blood and beautiful chrysanthemum flowers. Blood ran down his cheeks from the "tears" he shed. The nurse grabbed another nail. "You're not secure enough yet." She said. Was it never enough? She grabbed the hammer and slammed the metal nail in through his ear. Ow. He tried his best not to whine or wince. He wasn't a weak boy. He could take it. He refused to budge or show any weakness. No way he'd show them his suffering. He suffered through his whole life, so he simply bit his lip as another nail impaled his right ear. The wound could possibly be a nice piercing at the end of the day. He stared at the nurse with cold eyes. "What did I do?" "Breathe." "Kay. I'll die." Dabi says and waited for an answer. It felt like hours. And hours. And hours. And hours.
"Don't worry, you'll starve down here."
Thank god. "Please, let Hawks free, I'll do whatever you want of me." Dabi plead. He couldn't handle the feeling of Hawks going through hell. "Fine." The nurse said. They at least had some humanity. "But first, we'll wait until he sees your suffering." The nurse said. Of course, they'd have a "but". He averts his gaze onto the floor. Fuck, it hurted like hell. He growled softly. But, the nurse took out a syringe and Dabi flinched. He had always been afraid of needles. The nurse planted the syringe into his arm and injected something. "AGH!" He couldn't help it. It hurt too much. Dabi just wish that Hawks would be fine. I'll go through this for you, my babybird. Dabi groaned in pain as yet another syringe took his blood. Fuck. He almost whimpered. The syringe was removed, and the nurse laughed. "He'd be a great experiment." She says. Please stop this hell. Dabi thought. Dabi coughed again, coughing up the blood and big chrysanthemum flower. Shit. He coughed up more blood. And another petal. He was dying slowly, and he knew it. How long until he would die from the torture or suffocate on a flower. The second guy, a face almost too familiar. Showerman. Or well, Iguka Mini. Shit. Iguka stabbed him in the stomach. He tried not to flinch. Dabi closes his eyes, he wanted freedom but was scared he'd pass out and move on to the afterlife. He groaned softly. "I won't--AGH." His eyes roll back due to the pain. "Fuck.." He mumbled to himself, but Iguka smiled. "You deserve this!" He chuckles and stabbed his cold blade in Dabi's elbow, then slashes the joint in half. "AAGHHH." Dabi couldn't help it at this point. He panted, he bled. Why couldn't the world be fair? He coughed up blood once again. That one orange flower he loved seeing so much falling once again. He just out his mind at work for now, Iguka wasn't doing shit atm. He closed his eyes, imaging he was sitting in a field, Chrysanthemums all around him as Hawks lays in his lap, the both unharmed and smiling, blushing at one another as the two boys are closer and more free than they could ever be in this fucked up mental institution. His fantasy was cut short when multiple blades impaled his skin. Fuck. He felt his blood dripping onto the ground, forming an crimson pool under him and that fucked up chair he was nailed to. Dabi growled as he looked at Iguka. "No words to say?" Iguka teased. "We were nice to you the first two years of your stay, but the niceness is OVER." Iguka yelled and slashed his knife in Dabi's chest, just missing his vitals. Fuck that was close. He thought. "You'll die." Iguka growled with a twisted smirk. "You can't kill me." Dabi growled. That was wrong. Dabi was already dying due to the Hanahaki disease. Hawks wasn't going to reproduce his feelings anytime soon, and he was in stage two already, no way that—after Dabi falling way to fast once again—Hawks would have enough time to get to know him and fall for him. He sighed. Life was over anyway. Unless? He wasn't sure what could save him now. He groans again as four syringes sink into his chest. He hadn't even realised his shirt had ripped off. The syringes, two of them injecting something that was either water or Vodka, or some fucked up medicine that he had forgotten after his medical study, or just forgotten due to the immense pain coursing through him. The other two syringes took his blood. He yelled in pain and fear. He was fucking terrified, what could he do? His consciousness was starting to slip away, but he forces himself to keep his eyes open. Iguka is not killing him, not if Dabi could do anything about it. He groaned. "Get away!" He spurted through his growing and clenched teeth. Before he could even register why he has yelled, blue flames filled the room and burned everyone and everything inside. Even Dabi felt his skin badly burned—burned aside from the scar tissue—and his wounds were mostly seared shut. He was terrified about the nails, though. Metal would melt upon meeting the heat of his flames, which currently wasn't much higher than 100 degrees Celsius. Normally, it'd burn way hotter, but he has taken double sedatives for the past few somethings while his Hanahaki weakened his body, and he was badly injured, so it wasn't half as strong. Iguka coughed. "YOU BRAT." Dabi heard the nurse yell in the distance. He heard the blood soar through his ears now after the nails in his ears started to take effect. Someone save me. He plead in silence. Dabi never believed in God or anything alike. But if there was a god, he or she was surely punishing Dabi now for not believing or simply existing after the forest fire should've taken his life. Or perhaps, this so called God decided to take niceness for once. The door of the—what Dabi guessed—basement flew open to reveal a huge, muscular figure that Dabi wasn't sure he wanted to see, but he was thankful anyway.
[Endeavour pov]
Hawks trusted him. Him. Of everyone. Hawks—the number two hero who was locked in a mental institution for some stupid reason—counted on him to save his roommate in said mental institution. He broke every speed rule to simply reach the location Hawks gave him. Possibly, it was weird to see a father of one family worry of the son of his greatest enemy—but Endeavour had taken a liking to Hawks so far, despite the young hero being a Takami. Endeavour didn't care, he kept driving. He knew without further information required that Hawks' roommate was Dabi—better said Touya, his long lost son. Endeavour parked his car in front of the looking like a mental hospital and burged out. He was furious. He barged in, and—as an reminder to his own kidnapping and torture—he barged towards the basement. He was about to flame this place up if they would've killed his son, who he had realised was still alive after thinking he had been dead for almost 11 years now. Endeavour had found out that said "arrested" villain "Dabi" was Touya upon hearing that he was likely abused in his past and had PTSD connected to fire. It wasn't that hard to guess. Endeavour lifted his foot, using his strength to immediately kick in the basement door. Soon enough, he saw a bloodied Dabi, stained in blood and flowers, one thing Endeaviur recognised as more than familiar. Their family disease. Endeavour had faced it himself after Rei—his ex-wife—had died. He had fallen for her after her dead but gotten it surgically removed since Rei was dead anyway, so losing his love for her forever wouldn't be such a burden. He had chosen to stay around for his family instead of dying out and loving a dead woman. Endeavour stepped forward into the room angrily, facing a girl dressed as a medical nurse and a man who stood disgusted. "Who the fuck are you?" The man said. "His fucking father." Endeavour growled, while Dabi was visibly shocked.
[Dabi]
My father?!?! How did Endeavour knew he was Touya? He must've fucked up somewhere? His hairstyle? Perhaps his clothing style? He didn't know. All he knew was that Endeavour came to save him, and he knew that Dabi was his son. Dabi smirked. He was saved, perhaps.
